The Rebels of IposThe Hellenic city of Ipos was doing fine. A good navy, a new sarissa-based army, and powerful walls were all achievements of the new king, Philip (just shoe-horning in some special characters here), and his general Themistocles. However, all was not well. Philip's military success was costing the ordinary people in life and coin, and eventually, while the king was at his palace down the coast hunting, the great orator Xenophon rallied an army of militiamen to attack the city. This is where we start; the countryside has been raised against Themistocles and Philip, who as a result have little access to resources. However, they have by far the more powerful army and have control of the navy still as well, not to mention the city with its fortifications and training centres. As additions there are also celts lurking in the mountains and a Roman force not far away...

MigrationIn the fens of eastern Britannia, the Romans are invading and pushing tribes from firmer ground to seek refuge in the marshes. As a result, one small settled village, whose only neighbour until lately was the mad old druid at the marsh temple, is about to get more visitors than they bargained for... This map pits two celt groups against one another across a muddy bog; one starts with a base, the other no base but far more people including many horsemen and chariots. A tiny Roman detatchment can be found on one side of the map, and the aforementioned mad druid is in himself the other faction.
