So I was looking at different boards and got to this dangerous business of thinking. They all seem to have award systems with easily achievable goals (100 posts without a moderator slapping you etc, posting once a day for a month etc.) The exilian one is pretty difficult to get any sort of awards. Personally I don't care for this kind of thing much, nice to achieve one but also not a huge deal (to me). Would rehashing the reward system with more awards and more point boosters be an idea to get some more traffic through here? I don't know. Opinions?

I would like it just for the more diversity. As far as I know we only have Triumphs.

I can see it might be a good idea to further develop the award system. Do we have any other bright ideas about what could be rewarded other than continual activity? Triumph points takes care of content, so maybe for activity/being helpful. The fact that people break the rules pretty rarely means that would be a more or less meaningless award I think. The problem is that quite a lot of those things are probably quite difficult to keep track of so, unless they can be automated, it's probably unfair to make someone do it.

I'm quite amenable to this if we can find a low-work way of doing it that I'm not responsible for. :P

Having a thread for people to apply for the award would work with someone monitoring it like we have with triumph points.

That is a good idea. So.. what to reward and how to keep track of it are left on the list :P

Well I would suggest something to do with Karma but as it is now it's not very well implemented.
