General Chatter - The Boozer / Dwarf fortress
« on: April 15, 2010, 06:18:58 PM »
So, anybody else play this amazing ball of planning depth and mass genocide?

if not I recommend it, the latest version is here though it's just had a rather large overhaul so the documentation is not very complete, so you can download the previous release here
The wiki is infinity useful for all players and there are plenty of youtube tutorial videos

General Chatter - The Boozer / Translation Party
« on: September 20, 2009, 07:47:32 PM »
In honour of its name I have decided to party with translationparty (not the lemon variety)
So I have used it to translate the lyrics of Muse - Unnatural Selection verse by verse using its entertaining reiteration. I challenge you guys to do the same!

So without further ado

If you can laugh at every opportunity to artificial selection, good luck to them, I saw this fall, it is to know the truth about my fate, I remember, as follows: to.

However, the viewpoint of promoting the love of the final assembly language, and some people have difficulty understanding the various peace

Destructive rampage, the new era, or devotion, or for what purpose? Have you another opportunity to repeat the clear again

Offset this storm, I fell into the sea

If you can laugh at every opportunity to artificial selection, good luck to them, I saw this fall, it is to know the truth about my fate, I remember, as follows: to.

If, in fact, many people are actually thinking, many of the secular end of each virus

However, the viewpoint of promoting the love of the final assembly language, and some people have difficulty understanding the various peace

Offset this storm, I fell into the sea

If you can laugh at every opportunity to artificial selection, good luck to them, I saw this fall, it is to know the truth about my fate, I remember, as follows: to.

Also, they are long, and you try to ride out the storm (we), and finally, inequality, the choice of initial conditions that do not require special attention

Offset this storm, I fell into the sea

If I was 1:00, in some cases, you do not know the truth, smile, and two of his three to one to avoid the drop-down Unfortunately, the next morning, my destiny 1 prank show any need to worry about two possibilities, the truth about three inches.

PS while the album coves with a lyric book I just copied them from here
also some didn't reach an equalibrium, so I just used the last thing it gave me

General Chatter - The Boozer / Fun FPS/RTS
« on: January 07, 2009, 10:26:07 PM »
Just a post for a cool little game I am currently running the demo of, because I want to multiplayer with you guys

Iron Grip: Warlord

Fun little FPS with some RTS elements, while the enimies are just spammed at you the usual FPS 'I am mega killer one man army' route doesn't work, you have to invest in defences and improved weapons and the like and there is nothing is more satisfying than pulling of a successful trap, or gunning down the officer that has been frustrating you from his hiding place.

oh and it's nicely steampunk themed :P

Bethesda Mods / Morrowind - Mod - Auto Loading Bow
« on: December 09, 2008, 11:09:52 PM »
this is my most advanced piece of unique programming I have ever made work, yeah ain't I incredible, using a very high level language to achieve very little :(
Anyway back to the mod
Assuming you have the construction set open and are vaguely familiar with it, perhaps the odd super item when you desired to mess about
Firstly you need a bow, create a new one or duplicate one, I shall use the name MagicBow
Secondly you need an arrow, these can be any you want, just remember the name, I shall be using the name MagicArrow
Now create a new script by going Gameplay->Edit Scripts... then in the new window go File->New
Come up with a name for your script I recommend the naming convention of _[Number]_[Name of relevance], becaue it puts your script at the top of the open pile, and the name means you know what it's for, I shall use _01_MagicBow
Now for the code I shall annotate with /*annotation here*/ this is not recognised as annotation within the engine, so do not leave it in if you decide to copy/paste the code
NOTE: don't worry about naming the script yet it all becomes clear
Quote
begin _01_MagicBow /*This is the command to begin the script, it also declares its name*/

short onPCequip /*deceleration of variables, VERY important*/
short count

The War Cabinet - ETW Discussion / Minimums specs

http://www.sega.co.uk/empire/gameinfo/news.php?n=2740

woooo I can play it (just)

PS take these with a pinch of salt, they will be for a reasonable framerate, if you can cope with <12 fps a weaker system will handle it

Rules are simple, just before you log off post on this thread, last person wins.

Round finishes at 4am local time, chosen as it is an impractical time to stay awake till or get up for.
Only accounts with a location/mapped position allowed, so local time can be computed, will be to nearest time zone

So come on, if you think you're awake enough.  :D

My time 1:56 GMT(-4m 19s if you want precision)

edit now about 3 am

edit again, nearly 4
