Making mountains of molehills
« on: September 11, 2016, 02:37:00 PM »
I gave a quick spin to the Alps and would like a feed back if it is too extreme or if I should continue this way.

Background - the enlarged map widens the distance between points but the height stays the same, hence mountains look like dimples and some exaggeration is needed.

Finished coastal smoothing and a good number of major mountain areas reworked. Simply extract the ZIP file (7Zip is freeware) into the data\world\base folder of the RTR directory and delete map.rwm (make a back up of the original map_heights file just in case).

download here

It should be save game compatible as it doesn't change region borders.
