You are ADONIBAL BARCA, a PANGOLIN. Your trireme is sailing to escape the wreckage of PORTUGAL, which EXPLODED in a dramatic fashion not long before this story starts. The reason for this explosion is currently unclear, as is your destination, though it is quite possible that the war between the mighty WIBULNIB and EXILIAN Empires to the EAST of the Isle of PORTUGAL may have been somewhat to blame for this.
