Title: The Ridiculous Tale of Sena in the Tower: A Farcical Fantasy
Post by: sdcampbell on June 10, 2016, 05:53:45 PM
Hi there, everyone. I'm SD Campbell, and I want to talk to you about the Ridiculous Tale of Sena in the Tower. My cohort and I have been working on this game for the last six months, and we're trying to raise a bit of funding so that we have the equipment and programs we need to get it done. It's a fantasy first person puzzler/casual puzzle game hybrid based on the trope of the "damsel in distress"/"princess lock in a tower."

We've gotten a small proof of concept put together, though it's built on the tutorial section of the full game. We do need some feedback, in addition to funding. If you head over to dropbox you can find the PoC here: https://goo.gl/FYUobG. We're looking specifically for female feedback in terms of characterization, and any feedback at all in terms of gameplay. We have a pretty good idea of what we're doing with the full game, but we don't know how close we are to getting there.

We're just two people at present, and we're trying to make ALL the assets (3D models, sound, music, etc.) ourselves, as the asset store items tend to make all the game produced with them seem samey in our opinion. Like I said, however, we do need some key pieces of equipment in order to get everything we need made. If you check out the PoC or  our devblog (http://goo.gl/PI5OnY), and think that it's something worthwhile, head over to our kickstarter at https://goo.gl/TZ59Mv and give us some support.

Thanks!

-SD

Sorry to see the Kickstarter didn't succeed - they're very tough to run these days. What are your plans now?
