Hi, i have noticed the following bugs/little errors:

1) The Night's Watch Lord Commander is called Joer Mormont (it should be Jeor)

2) I think that the landbridge at The Wall is the cause of a crash i have experienced; i will describe it here:
Playing as the Dothraki, it's the year 298 AC, after i press the end turn button the factions do their moves; during the night's watch turn there is an army, a family member, that has a fight with a rebel army on the landbridge at The Wall, the NW lose the battle and retreat into castle black, and then CTD (maybe the bridge is the cause?). I have posted the save as an attachment.

3) When using the no fog cheat i noticed that there are two jon snow family members and both are marked as faction heir (i think that this could be a visual bug since they are always in the same army)

I think 2 and 3 are interlinked, and IIRC CG has managed to fix them both :)

Yo I was recently playing a campaign as the Night's Watch. At the startof the campaign Jeor Mormont is quite old and he died within 20/30 turns (which was to be expected). However upon the turn that he died I got a message saying my faction had been destroyed. I assume this is a bug? It makes a Night's Watch campaign pretty impossible to complete. ;.;

Hi, sorry for the trouble with the Watch. Here are a couple files to fix the problem:

http://www.megafileupload.com/rtWM/export_descr_unit.txt

Drop export_descr_unit into the got/data folder and descr_strat into got/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign

Then delete map.rwm in got/data/world/maps/base and start a new campaign

I have followed all the instalation instructions yet it crashes at open  black screen screen flashes twice then crashes not sure how to fix ?

Hi,

Awesome mod, the best one I have seen so far for RTW :-)

There are two issues:

1.) I have noticed this issue that is bothering me a lot. Most of the times that I want to load a saved game, it crashes. Once one of the loads crashes, that specific save will always crash whenever I try to load it.

2.) Also, quite often I am not able to save a game at all. When I click on Esc, the 'save game' and 'load game' buttons are in grey letters and clicking on it does not have any effect (it does not open the window in which you can save a game or load a specific game).

Is there anything that could be done about it?

Sounds like you have more than one instance of the background script running. Hit the esc key and then click the question mark on the scroll to manually stop the script. That should allow you to save. Do that any time you start a new campaign or load an old one without closing the game.

If the save file gets corrupted there really isn't any way to recover them.

Hi
So every time I play Targaryen the game crash when it goes from turn 312 to turn 313.
This has happened twice when I tried to load a save file and then I end turn and it crashes. I started over and it happened again.
I was wondering if there is anything I can do.
But besides that everything is fine

Once you get a few hundred turns in, it's extremely difficult to identify the cause of crashes, some develop as a sort of butterfly effect (there are a few natural instabilities in the engine which we can't fix, and which often hit mods slightly worse than the base game).

this mod looks very promising. Love the got Story. but is there any way to play it with medieval total war, too? or is it only for rome total war? sorry for replying here, did Not want to Start another topic.

I was playing the Campaign tried any houses for a while and the game crashes everytime i end the turn.  :'(

What sort of crash do you get? If it's crashing when you open it, that probably means you haven't installed it right. Can you still open normal RTW as usual?

I have a bug which crashes the game to desktop whenever I view a generals screen for a general with the standard bodyguard, this is only an issue with the latest version, any idea on the cause and the fix?

Hmm show_err did nothing, it still says that A problem has forced the game to close, nothing that actually tells us anything, I redownloaded and reinstalled hoping that something was corrupted but alas nothing changed

Do you get a crash when you look at the bodyguard unit's screen without a general, like in a custom battle? And do all generals of all factions have the problem?

No, the screen that causes the crash is the one with the mercenary recruitment and character ancillaries, but for some reason character with a custom bodyguard like Dany are fine but any character with the standard bodyguard crash the game when viewing this screen.

Family Tree is fine, no crash or anything. I've tried it with more factions and the crash seems to pick factions at random to affect, for example Renly's faction is fine but the Starks, Targarians, Wildlings, and several others seem to be affected. This might be one of the weirdest bugs i've seen since that daylight setting bug with TATW

Hm, if it's Starks and Wildlings then it may be something culture based I guess... I'll need to have a think, it's a while since I did any RTW modding and it's a complex problem.

It's strange problem and one that effects gameplay a bit too much to make the mod playable, it's a real shame as well, I played the previous version (which doesn't seem to be downloadable anymore :/) and it was already really great, my modding capabilities are really limited, although if there's anyway i can help, I would be glad to help

Hm - the next step would be to try changing which unit is the bodyguard - if you want to have a go at that, you'll need the export_descr_unit file in the data folder and the maps/world/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt file. Go into EDU, find another unit from an affected faction, give it the generals_unit attribute, then go into descr_strat and change any refs to the original generals' unit there. The original RTW names map onto new factions - Targaryen is Seleucids if you want to try those.

At some point I may be able to take a better look myself, but I'm travelling a lot and preparing for a conference I'm speaking at atm so a tad short on time, happy to talk you through anything I can though :)
