...where and when in History would you visit, and why?
-
Assuming all technicalities (paradox, changes, fitting in etc.) are ironed out,
Roman Colosseum - the games at the height of its glory
Sermon on the Mount - heckle Jesus!
Germany early 1920 - punch Hitler before he gets famous, and by punch I mean punch then shoot
-
I wouldn't want to see the Colosseum. Rather brutally ick.
-
I would, but then that's me.
I'd quite like to go back to pre-roman Britain, just to see what it was really like.
-
I'd go back to the beginning of the 12th Century. I have always wanted to live in Medieval Britain, because it seems like a much simpler time without having to worry about College or a job or a mortgage or loans or...
Of course, there would be a problem of disease, but the lifespan was only about 30 years anyway, so it wouldn't matter.

BUT I'M NOT DEAD!!

1. To an early 20s Hitler first to convince him that his Art was just perfect and then to the admission board of the Uni he applied to... after all someone needs to threaten them into accepting Adolf.
Oh of course I would also find a way to end WW1 before it even begun.
2. And last but not least I'd be meeting Jesus. I'd like to have a debate with him on ethics.
3. Prometheus needs to know that people can gain 3rd degree burns from fire.
4. And then I would go way back to pay a visit to Adam and Eve and that deceptive serpent of theirs, I would greet them by throwing clothes at them. :D
5. My last visit would consist of me finding Lucifer before he began revolting against God and tell him to "Shut the Hell up." He'd probably ask me what on Earth I was talking about- both of which would make no sense because technically there would have been no Hell or Earth. (Plus, I don't even know if time existed back then... so...)

I wouldn't stop WW1 or 2, since these caused a huge leap in technology that we otherwise wouldn't have. I would be an observer, at most a guest.
-
1) About 2 weeks ago
2) About a year and 7 months ago
3) About 1000 years ago
4) About 2040 years ago
5) About 3000 years ago

Go back and preserve the ancient world and we would be thousands of years more advanced. Thrusters on full. ;)

Go back to the early 40's to help Roosvelt from dying of the food-disease or wahtever we can call it.
-
I'd like to see the fall of Constantinople, and possibly be on Leif Eriksson's ship going to the Americas. Oh, and I'd have to go to Carthage to see if they DID know that America existed.
-
I would change the things I've done. My dark past. (Prevent me from getting banned on TW and yeah.)
And see Jesus to see if its true.

mystery solved (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tivLB07Aos4&feature=related) :D
I'd like to go way way back and see if aliens formed the basis of all 'gods of the skies' religion, e.g. modern day cargo cults.
-
XD God damnit XD thank you xD
-
I'd go back to see how the world was created...
... and then laugh at whoever was wrong!
-
You'd die, the atmosphere was prolly totally different back then.
I think seeing the sack of Rome would be interesting. And being present at the signing of the US declaration of independence.
