Title: Talabecland army blog
Post by: Silver Wolf on August 18, 2011, 11:43:47 PM
Hi people.

This is the third (and hopefully the last) time I've started an army blog.
It's called "A Storm of Swords".

I've finally decided, and I've chosen Talabecland.
To make things a bit more serious I started it on blogger.com...
I'm going to link it to Exilian once I get the hang of it.

Oh, I almost forgot :
http://talabecland.blogspot.com/

Enjoy.

Made a general on foot... He still needs some kind of special sword handle and some sculpting...

I'll post something when I finish sculpting, recharge my camera and buy a can of white primer...
Yeah, you guessed it... It's going to take some time :D

Finished the sculpting and bought a can of spray... Just need to find my camera and recharge the batteries.

Sculpting with Milliput yellow-gray is incredibly hard... But I don't have enough money for procreate greystuff which is amazing btw...

Hmm have you ever tried brown stuff? Much better at holding detail than Green Stuff and it sets quicker too. Unfortunately its damned expensive...

Anyway, good luck mate, still looking forward to seeing what you have. :)

I've had a few days off and I've stormed through a unit of knights...
A few more days like these and I might even finish them by the end of this year. (Not counting the horses and gold parts because I still don't have all the needed colors. Bummer.)

So I was thinking about making a 5 man unit of Inner circle knights...

And I have a problem...
I can't decide between the Knights of the Blazing Sun (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=&categoryId=cat440091a&section=&pIndex=1&aId=300007&start=2&multiPageMode=true) and Knights of Sigmar's Blood (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?categoryId=cat440091a&pIndex=10&aId=300007&multiPageMode=true&start=11)...

What do you guys think?

Even better, Knights of the Stag. ;)  Pure Talabeclander knightly goodness. :D

I've already started Blazing sun knights. Preceptor (unit champion) is almost finished.
And now I have an excuse to paint a sun on the banner.  ;D

Griffon general.

On 50x100 base. Just as the new griffon.
Got all the needed bits for this conversion two days before the new Imperial griffon was confirmed. Still, this one was half the price.

I'm not much of a tabletop player. I just collect and paint figures.

It's been more than a year since the last time I've played.

Ok, here they are.

Still in the greenstuffing phase, slowly finishing and priming the greatsword horde.

Greatswords:
- bagpiper musician :D
- I'm not that satisfied with the banner as it looks too simple. I have a new idea and I'm probably going to change it.

- still a lot of work left on this guy

An obligatory close-up.
I'm not quite sure about the part which is connecting the pauldrons.
I might exchange it for something more elaborate.

It still needs some greenstuff here and there and a few minor details, but altogether I'm happy pyromaniac.

Completely forgot about this.

I haven't done much this year, since I've been extremely busy.
However I did strip the paint from greatswords.
Started painting the spearmen and swordsmen and Panther knights are nearing completion.
If I by any chance get a few free days I might even finish them.

I got a Hellblaster, another wizard (light college), a witch hunter, 5 crossbowmen, a captain armed with a greatsword and 7 more rank-and-file swordsmen.
