Here is the "original" post (at least from what I know) (http://www.totalwar.com/news/4897)
The best thing is that it says right there that it will not be the typical demo with only a short, crappy battle tutorial with a historical battle, but it will also include a campaign.
Your thoughts? I'm downloading it as soon as it comes out, it will be the perfect test to see how my PC will handle it and if it's worth buying before the patches come out, to avoid what happened with ETW
Newsied. I credited you as well. :)
Hmm might try this, i only played RTW properly but i'd like to get back into the series
I'll be getting it, assuming the download isn't too big
Depends on what's big to you, considering that the demo for Nappy is 3 Gigs, I'm expecting at least 5 (The demo for Civ5 is 5 gigs as well, and it features what can be called a "campaign", as you all know that Civ has never had a campaign :P)
@Marcus, I'm sorry, I didn't understand. Might be 'cause it's 2 o'clock here :P
Do want. Hopefully the result will be my computer can run it :D .
debux: Clicky (http://exilian.co.uk/)
I'll probably look at getting this.
Yay! Thanks Marcus. In part it made my internet day today :D
And I will see my first post as a tribune yaaaaaaaay!
hmm, I might download this and see does it work on my comp :D
5 gigs!?
Spoiler: click to toggle

might be too late, but I pre-ordered the limited edition for 40
Not bad :P The multiplayer preview that came out recently got me truly hyped. However, I'm fearful for SEGA hurrying the game, I'll wait for the first patches (or steam sales :whistles:)
The more I think about this the more excited I am to play total war again. I may play some medieval II total war to get back into it.
5 gigabyte is a bit much for me, thats half my on peak download limit (yeah I know, it isn't much) I suppose if I download off peak it would only be a quarter and off peak is rarely used. But I think I'll just wait till it hits the shelves, I can be patient.
Is it Tuesday yet? *waits*
True. My eyes shift uncontrollably to the date thing in the bottom right corner when I stroll into the TW related topics
Goddamit can't wait anymore. For those that are interested, it's released for public at 5PM GTM, although I don't know where...
1 hour to go :D
Will this be on steam? If not; any one know where to get it?
it is only on steam i think
Okay... gonna check after that of i go to a birthday (not mine tho).
Its available now on Steam :) .
how the hell you download that thing
Search for Shogun 2 on Steam, then scroll down the page a little and on the right hand side there is a button saying Download Demo.
OR
Search for Shogun 2 Demo on Steam ;) .
xD I didn't notice it xD
Ha! I was right! 6 Gigs dudes. Quite a bit, isn't it?
It's also in the scrolling thing they have as a news updater, in the features items page (home page). That thing that is kinda like advertisement.
geting the demo now :) if the demo is good i WILL and SHALL and CAN pay for it :P
My first impressions are good, and also I can run it fine which is wonderful :D . However I find the new? interface confusing, considering the last one I played was M2, I keep struggling to find everything and miss my building/recruitment scroll.
holy**** this game is great, unless they :) it up with all the bugs like ETW
@SotK, lol, you've missed out quite a lot. Especially by the decentralized cities. Most things were implemented in ETW, and I truly hope they keep them. In a way, it avoids a large number of sieges, or it reduces it.
I guess we can make a thread from this.
The decentralized cities was a really nice feature. Its something I've wanted since I first started playing TW games, for example I even enjoyed the ability to build 'villages' instead of watchtowers on XGM for RTW.
True... it's gonna be so fun top be able to effectively raid the enemies country side on the hellenic and roman period. I've been reading a book about the punic wars and I had no idea how much raids were used during the first two wars
