...who is TOTALLY FED UP with darn Royal Wedding? There are people getting shot daily in the Middle East, Japan is clearing up from a major disaster, elections and a referendum are looming in the UK, the US has massive budget issues, yet the media are obsessed with Kate Middleton's bloody dress!
P.S. I was informed by a friend that "Kate Middleton" and "Naked Tit Model" are in fact anagrams. Just thought I should share that.
Who cares about a referendum on our voting system?! We should all be moved by the sight of more news on Kate Middleton. The royal wedding is by far the most important thing happening in the UK, if not the world right now. I mean who doesn't want to watch documentaries about Kate Middleton's obscure relatives, rather than something more worthwhile for example anything (except Jersey Shore and the like perhaps).
Incidentally, you are not the only person who is completely tired of hearing about the royal wedding. I will be glad when it's over and the fantastic British media can once again move onto covering the far more important issues like which footballer has had an affair this week...
This is I think the third time I've heard something about some wedding, other than a minor blip on the radio, and by far the most informative to the subject.
But in other news I found this:

Probably a good thing you guys aren't a strict monarchy anymore or they'd most likely hang you for this thread. ;)

Lol the only part of this wedding that interested me was Jubal's anagram. :) But yeah, down here, every channel, even the pay-channels have specials on the wedding. Hell there was a rumour Discovery would have one on the construction of the dress.

I couldn't tell you, but in Scotland we celebrate weddings in a frenzy of bloodletting, before getting everyone to jump in a longboat and raiding the Swedish coast in repayment for past grievances.
Hahaha so your Scottish are you NightAngel? Never would have guessed.
What would you have guessed I was?
On topic: I did watch the wedding, but only the "I do's" and the balcony. It's something to tell the younglings.
i watched pretty much everything though missed the "i do"s as my girlfriend arrived just as they started
I was in the perfect place to avoid it, them followed part of it online. I will admit, I am a sucker for a bit of pomp and circumstance. We know how to do a good parade.
But yeah, in the end, it is pretty trivial. The same happened during Di and Charles' wedding, it's not unknown.
A friend of mine told me, "at least you're not in Iraq". I told him "you're right, I'm not, which means I have the luxury of worrying about more trivial things." :P

There's something quite hilarious about that statement. :D
I was up a mountain, having little time for such things. Although I hear the queen was dressed in yellow.
She looked like an elderly canary.

HAHAHA!
Myself I was enjoying the night out at South Bank, which is considered a tourist attraction down here. Apparently the wedding itself only went for about an hour. Is that right, cause I would have expected longer than that.
Oh and NightAngel, not sure what I would have guessed, but certainly not Scottish. :)
