yeah i play the campaign mode as the orks and goblins.(during the game i press alt+tab regulary to talk to my friends) so im looting and capturing villages and stuff. and after one hour or so the lands get black spots on em and the gameplay gets slow. then the screen starts flashing and i have to restart my pc.
Can you provide a screenshot? What other programs are you using, and what operating system/computer specs are you running?
Sounds like a memory leak of some sort.

Try playing it sometime without other programs running and not alt+tabbing out of it.

problem 2. for some unexplainable reason every 15 minutes the game switches to the desktop
Does it close the game when it switches to the desktop?
Try to mess with the game's compatibility properties (i.e. run in compatibility mode for windows xp, disable visual themes, run as admin, etc.).

it doesnt close the game, it just switches to desktop. then i click the game in the toolbar and i resume my play.
maybe ill try that. haven't really looked at the options before

That's why I suggested you run it in compatibility mode for XP.

i go compatility windows xp service pack 2/3. doesnt work
after sometime it always says. rome total war doesn't work anymore, we're trying to find a damn way to fix it. and it always fails

actually nevermind. i found an alternative
the game still crashes after some time, but luckily the saves still work so i can still play where i left off (if i dont forget to save)
Awesome, glad you've got it working. Hopefully the next version will have improved stability too. :)
