I have did everything to make this game work but it just wont work...
I really want to play this so help please...
Righty;
- Are you using steam or a normal install?
- Can you give me a copy of the shortcut path you're using? Right-click on the shortcut and it should be there.
- Can you tell me or give me a screenshot of the folder structure where you installed it? It should go Rome - Total War/WHTW, with the Data folder and other stuff inside that WHTW folder.
Well im using gold edition.
Heres the shotcut "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\RTW_MP\RomeTW.exe" -mod:WHTW But Activison shouldnt be there beacuse i use creative assembly foulder.
And i have no clue how to take a screen shot but im sure its in Rome - Total War.
Just make a shortcut to RTW, like a copy of your normal desktop RTW shortcut, then add the -mod:WHTW bit to it, and that should work. :)
Alright Managed to get it working But Everytime i want to play a custom battle or the campaign or is it a wrong verison
Make sure that the mod folder "WHTW" is located in the same location that the shortcut points to, and that inside it is a "data" folder. If there is no data then look elsewhere for the WHTW folder.
Can you make it a little bit clearer please?
Go to the exact spot that the shortcut points to (the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\RTW_MP\RomeTW.exe" stuff, though not exactly like that as we've already discovered) and see if the WHTW folder located there has a data folder inside it.
Ok it has a data folder.
Then it should be the mod that starts when you run that shortcut.
So how do i play ?
Beacuse i really want to play :)
So when you click on the shortcut and start the game, exactly what do you see/what happens?
Well When i want to play a battle it just stops reponding
Does it come up with an error message, or just freeze? How far does it get through the loading bar?
No when i click start it just goes black for a couple of secs and somthing comes up saying This program has stop responding or somthing like that.
Okay, that's odd. Try removing the -mod:WHTW from your command line temporarily; does it then start Rome Total War normally? (This is just to check whether it's the files and file structure or a shortcut problem)
Alright i did that its starts RTW normal.
Okay. And your folder structure goes Rome - Total War/WHTW/Data?
Also, to check, you're definitely running it through the Rome Total War exe not the Barbarian Invasion or Alexander ones?
Im not to sure.
And i run through Rome total war
Can you send me a screen-shot of the folder you have Warhammer Total War installed in?
ok i checked its installed in Rome - TotalWar
We need to see a screenshot of the inside of your RTW and WHTW folders.
