Hello and welcome to World Building!
So you all know, this course is formatted around a set of lectures and notes covering what I see as the key aspects of designing a fantasy world. For the course I'm going to ask you to build one of your own, too - preferably you should be starting almost from scratch so you can deal with all the aspects of setting design. How you present your final piece is up to you; I'm basically expecting some notes on each aspect with a couple of illustrative short stories, but if you want to present it more visually (for those with artistic flair), or in game format, I'm more than happy with that as well. Your ideas don't have to stay the same all the way through, and if one of the later parts of the module gives you a whole new idea then I've no problem with you going ahead and scrapping previous ideas and so on.
My part is twofold; I'll be trying to provide material and lectures and notes and so on, but also I'm here as a tutor and can give you one-on-one feedback on how your designs are progressing and what could be done to improve them. No question is stupid, so do ask away!

Right, where do we start?
I'm still preparing an introductory lecture. :)
I signed up for this too, Jub. ;)
Looking forward to this.
My intro lecture will be recorded tomorrow morning if all goes to plan.
And believe me when I say that I plan to record it in the single most appropriate place to do so on the planet. :P
...Jubal's Study. :P
I think you should make a list of the things you're going to cover somewhere in here.
I could really use that third cartography lecture there Jub. ;)
Sorry - planning to try giving all this a reboot over the summer, once WHTW's out the way.
Fair enough. ;) I can accept that. :P
