Title: Medieval Latin dictionary completed
Post by: Glaurung on August 31, 2014, 09:19:16 AM
I don't know if this is exactly on-topic here, but it appealed to me. Since 1913, work has been under way on compiling a dictionary of medieval Latin from British sources. The current team believe they have now reached the end - an entry for 'zythum', a type of beer. There are more details in this BBC News article (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-28952646). Now I'm just waiting for them to start on an OED-style Supplement for things that have been missed earlier.

Ooh, fun. (And yes, this is definitely "interesting information"!)

I wonder if anyone's done a Greek one...
