So I can't be the only one who starts craving whatever food is being described when I'm reading a novel.
Heres a website dedicated to nerdy foods, I've successfully made both virgin and non virgin mudders milk and unsuccessfully made beorn's honey cake. http://www.geekychef.com/
I also found a recipe for seedcake somewhere, the hobbit always makes me mega hungry. As does a fair amount of the first (and best) parts of LOTR. I'll post it up here later.
Anyone else made such stuffs?
I have a Star Trek cookbook. Contains everything from gagh to Tarkalean tea. :)
I'm rather partial to a nice plate of slumpie (http://wiki.lspace.org/mediawiki/index.php/Slumpie) but that's only because of the Discworld cookbook. On the other hand when reading Witches Abroad I would have loved to try Mrs. Gogol's gumbo. Actually the same happens when a gumbo machine is offered as a snack machine in The Simpsons. Is gumbo tasty..?
I've been planning to make a black forest gateau Portal cake :D And I made pokeball cookies a couple of years ago :P
Also, SotK Gamma made Lembas bread once. He didn't like it, but I thought it was lovely :) Kind of like shortbread :)
So, I got some Portal cookie cutters from SotK for Christmas :)

Meh, the dough I used rises more than sugar cookie dough, which it suggests in the cookie cutter pack, and I only had a few icing colours, but they're cute in their own way :P
O.o Amazing!
Don't sell yourself short, they're very impressive!
Thank you ^_^
