So I recently started a new character on classic runescape, which they've re-released and is now available with free-play worlds. Does anyone else play/remember playing like a decade ago? :)
No I never played this one.
My character is now, entirely predictably, down a mine, surrounded by dwarfs, and slowly working on smithing and mining skills.
I guess it's a fairly standard MMO, mostly I'm just on there for nostalgia at the slightly pixelly 3d graphics and suchlike.
Old games will always be the best.
A Java-based MMO? I've known people to play it but there never seem to be any with a setting that appeals to me. I liked reading about WURM in PC Gamer for the time they ran a column on it but that's about it.
Runescape was amazing
Never did get as far as completing Dragon Slayer, maybe sometime this year :P
It was pretty cool in when you had too much time on your hands, but there was never really any new content for free players and it really isn't a game worth paying for.
This is also true.
Especially when you realise every skill in the game is the same. Click ->wait for items ->sell -> repeat
I had a few funny ideas for gaming videos to do on RuneScape, but don't have the time to make any of them.
