Title: Skyship Design Thoughts

Bit of a recent windfall of cash has meant money to throw at more artwork and get me a step closer to Frozen Skies getting properly released. Hoping over the next few weeks to show a preview of one of the new pieces of artwork I've had commissioned, but this week I wish to talk a little about another piece of artwork thats in the pipeline.

That of a Skyship.

I keep meaning to respond to this one but not getting round to it :(

I like the ideas on propulsion and steering - I think my concern with the gasbags is that if they're considerably less than the length of the ship overall they could look oddly undersized, though I may be envisioning this wrong.

Well there is a gasbag on either side of the vessel, though they probably could be about two-thirds the length of the ship.

So are the gasbags in rigid frames if they're on the same plane as the vessel?

Yes, a rigid frame.

Also divided up into gas cells like real life zeppelins, on military skyships each of these cells will have their own cabling as opposed to a single cable connecting all of the gas cells on civilian models. This give military vessels advantages in that they can alter the charge in each cell and limit the impact of damage.
