Title: where are the modelers
Post by: Tintin on August 20, 2009, 02:07:01 PM
No. I didn't know if you'd spent loads of time figuring out a way to make dwarves and then the open brf editor thing come out
Title: where are the modelers

hehe yeah when I first saw it my brain was going at 800km/sec thinking about everything that would be possible now that we can add skeletons & animations :D

Are you gonna have to redo dragons now?
Title: where are the modelers
Post by: Sibylla on August 20, 2009, 02:17:23 PM
maybe since those I have aren't rigged but if anyone here can rig then I won't have to redo them.

EDIT: also we will have to create some armors for the dwarfs since those for male_body don't fit.

thx Goromous :)
well let's say a second beta dwarf (( I don't know why each time I finish it I find some think new to change))

I gave him a new face with a big nose & wide jaws etc, I also gave him a new beard, I made the body wider the arms bigger ...
I made this armor from the "lamellar_armor_b".

They're up but hidden. I need to wait for Captain Lust or Konar to check them for me. The layouts a bit iffy you see.

Can't be bothered to wait for them to come online so i just posted it.

And that is, 2-4 metres taller.
Title: where are the modelers
Post by: Evil2828 on August 24, 2009, 06:45:08 AM
2 things that need changing
1. Dwarves have 7 toes on each foot
2. urgals have ram/goat-like Horns Edit: and wider bodies
:D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D
Title: where are the modelers
Post by: Goromous on August 24, 2009, 08:19:29 AM
I think Urgals have seven toes, also. Could be mistaken though.
Title: where are the modelers
Post by: Sibylla on August 24, 2009, 11:30:33 AM
lol dwarves are just like humans never read about them having seven toes, as for urgals I gave them goat like feet so they want have any toes :p

ps: yup I said I'll make the horns bigger

for urgals I'm using the man_body but by scaling it up when I import in openBRF "which doesn't support normal vertex" they'll get edgy
so until the next release of OpenBRF all new bodies will be edgy :s

Agree on everything.
Title: where are the modelers
Post by: The Red Baron on August 24, 2009, 08:07:02 PM
Yes, its during a bet with Orik and another dwarf that humans only have 5 toes.  In brisingr, while running to trongheim with Nar Garaos...(can't spell it) we learn that urgals have 7 toes as well, but I like the goat feet thingy too
Title: where are the modelers
Post by: Sibylla on August 25, 2009, 11:08:20 PM
well for the 7 toes it'll be done with the texture since the foot mesh is "toeless" :p.
also maybe some elven armores ? :

Have you tried white plate with gold chainmail? I think that would be cool.

I also think the plate should be thinner/tighter(I'm not sure which would make more sense) . That's just my opinion. I just imagine elves with thin, highly decorated armour.
Title: where are the modelers
Post by: Sibylla on August 25, 2009, 11:56:21 PM
yeah sure I'll try it.
can you guys post some IC's original crests if they exists, in order to create banners & uniform armors for each faction.
if there isn't Ill create some & then vote on which to use.

Actually, as I haven't even been sharing any files recently (I've got so much to do, that I have to push most stuff into a later release), I'm not sure. All ready files should be sent to Darwin.
