Title: In what a kind of scenario you like a puzzle advanture?

Disclaimer: This article come first on itch.io (https://saarta.itch.io/saarta/devlog/432595/poll-a-new-other-scenario) out!

While reading the book The Invincible (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Invincible) by Stanisław Lem (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanis%C5%82aw_Lem) (one of my favorite authors) I had the idea that Saarta should not take place on an island as planned until now but in a spaceship. This gives me completely new possibilities and technically it’s probably less challenging than solo developer.
Whether this scenario is well received by puzzle adventure fans and I don’t know and that’s why I started a survey on different platforms. I am curious about your opinion and I would be happy if you also share this on your social media platforms.

Question
Many first person puzzle adventure games are set on islands (Myst, The Witness, etc.) and Saarta was intended to be that way, yet now I’m thinking of moving this to a (retro futuristic) SciFI spaceship.
What do you think of this and would you play a adventure puzzle game in a spaceship scenario?

I think a spaceship version done well would be good - I feel like islands are kind of the 'standard' in this genre so the spaceship environment might be the more interesting option :)

This was also my intention and I think be unique in a genre is a good point to standing out.

Yes, I agree :)

Are there particular sorts of puzzles you're thinking about focusing on/ is it planned to be a fairly 'pure' minimal-narrative puzzle game?
