A few points;

- The US and UK are two of the main members of NATO. It would make no sense for them to be fighting each other or NATO.
- The Chinese and Russians were by no means staunch allies thorugh the Cold War
- Why by god is everyone obessed with chucking the whole middle east into one faction? It's one of the most split parts of the world, for heaven's sake.
- India? That big country in Asia? Sort of powerful? Ring any bells?  :P
- 1987 is really very late. Communist Russia was just about on its knees by then anyway; the 1960s would be a more obvious time to place it.

Potentially could be a good idea, but for factions you really need to think who might be fighting whom.

I studied the Cold War at GCSE History.

Please let me do the history.

Also, may I suggest changing the USSR to the Warsaw Pact to include other European Communist countries?

Jubby, he uses WW 2's map... That's why he has such factions! I am hoping Ryan will continue do moddels for WW2, which seams to walk so slowly, but I still keep it alive in my heart. Old SR fitted exactly with it as a base... -Ryan, please complete those freakin' nice ships I've told thy about, okz? -

Anyways, good luck to Ryan. At least this coder dude he has in the team might be able to code the factions a bit around...
The main factions, should be NATO and USSR

Or camps.

No... You'll have half of the world on your map... Camps just don't fit in... I suggest you this :

Town = City
Village = Town
Castle = military base
training camp = military academy ?

Ahhhhh.. Good idea, SW.

Castle=Military Camp
Towns=Cities
Villages=Small Towns
Training camp=Training xD

Ghillie suit for the guerillas:
(http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/8382/ghillie.jpg)

Do not say "Human rag/rug", its a normal ghillie xD

PS: Hunters/Snipers with ghillie will not walk/run as normal soldier, they will crouch walk/run.
