Hi all the great day is here.
It gives me and the team great pleasure in releasing the latest version of our mod. Yes we are sorry for going a few months over from what we had said but lots of time and incredible effort has gone into this.

For instance, we went through 3 different maps before we chose this one. At this moment, we would like to give a huge thanks to the work of legio, that put a lot of time into our mod, but in the end, due to a few reasons and change of course, they were not used. But still, thanks for the time and effort you put in.

This version is a vast improvement over the 0.87. Brand new map, completly new unit rooster for each faction since 0.87, brand new battle map enviroments and graphics, brand new animations, brand new strat map models for units and citys, new recruitment system for romans and the Achaen League, night battles, brand new unit stats for realistic battles and many more things to look forward to.

The mod is set in 280 BC, the Romani are starting momentum, Carthago's thirst for power in Spain and Scicly is tireless, the Achaen League stands strong in front of the Macedonian and Carthagian onslaught, the Ptolemaic Empire looks to seizing lands of the Seleukid Empire, Armenia, Parthia and Pontus look to take their revenge for the years of rule under the Seleukids. The world is set for total war. Will Carthago hold all of Scilcy? Will the Aedui crush the Romani? Can the alliance of the Achaen League hold its own against Macedon? Will the small land of Armenia be able to fend of insurgences from the Seleukids? The answer, is in your hands.

How come mac link came first! Windows should always be priority :D

The mac link was quicker to stabilise, also the windows version had one more feature, due to os which mac couldn't take, so it took while separating files for each os. Yes I am trying to get them to post here, but they don't know what to put but i am promoting some new moderators
So they will joining in soon, just so you know I am not a looner pretending I have a team lol:) just I'm the only one that seems to do Internet side of things :) hope

Oh lol that was a bit of a fail there :) installer is going through last few packs and should be done in the next few days, if you are desperate to play though, you can download the mac image and just ignore the instructions and install like you would for windows. It should work fine on windows but I think there may be a bug with the aedui but if u don't play as them that should be fine, that's only though if you don't want our version of the shortcut image and the made installer :) thats what spw452 is doing just at the moment I think, also please put your thoughts, for the future, were looking to break some hard coding with hex coding, it could have some quite nice results, please post what you think of that :)

In terms of hex coding, check the legalities and make sure you don't fall afoul of them. I think the engine is probably still under copyright, and it's important to make sure you don't get tracked down and handed a very heavy fine (companies do take this sort of thing very seriously).

Yes we are aware of this, we are looking into this though to make it legal, all suggestions will be considered though, obviously though this is ideas for future :) hope u all enjoy mod

It will come 2moro, I just got a txt finding outthat the person that was making the installer has computer has died, so im uploading just a packed version at the moment with installation instructions and hopefully next month there should be an installer version, sorry for any inconvenience this cause any of you :)

Suppose not, this version was in development for 6 months, aiming to make next version around 3 months but as the same in the building industry, it's extremely unreliadble :)I was lucky enough though to get a great hard working team, without a lot of there work this would not of been out to this time next year, when the link is uploaded we all hope u enjoy it :)

I clicked the windows version because I wanted to see how it would be installed but the Installation Read Me came out in jibberish.

Interesting don't know why that happened? Ok here is how to do it, place the rvtw file in your Rome directory, that's were the folders arewhich say data, if you barbarian invasion it will have a bi folder there too. So once you have done that drag the Rome total warimage to your desktop, open it and enjoy, hopefully that should be all, if you are having any problems we will release an installer in a little while for you all ;)

Hi all will be releasing patch in few days, it can be optional as it is not so important for mod but it shall provide brand new loading screens and pieces like that of mod to add for increased attachment to mod, also includes music fix so every culture will have music and not just roman and greek

lol yeah sorry about lack of installer, the guy doing was that spw245 that showed up a while ago, unfortunaly his computer basicly melted badly, it wasnt the mod by the way just to clarify ;) He has the basic built file on a usb drive which i will get of him next week, so then i shall finish off the build so next sunday hopefully should be released, the installer version shall include the next patch as well, we shall post an seperate thread for this as there shall be some added features :)
Hope thats alright with all of you also we are still in need of someone to give us a hand with the descr_strat file if anyone would like to help with this mod please dont hesitate in asking :) also need someone to just repack files for us as my computer will not repack unfortunaly and the textures are to busy with other parts of the mod ;)

Works for me. Hopefully I will be done with my Shimazu campaign in S2TW by then. Seems like all I get is a turn a night here lately.
