Title: WIP screens
Post by: comrade_general on June 25, 2011, 07:13:58 PM
As the title says these are from the work-in-progress, so what you see here may change.

This one I've posted already, when I got Jubal's meteor shower idea to work successfully.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Here we see Daemons battering down some Footmen. Special thanks to SotK for adding the wings to these guys (original model from WHTW, wings are from gollum's balrog model).
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Some Human Knights run down fleeing Orcish Spearmen.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Orcish Wolf Raiders clash with Footmen. Visible among them are Conjurers (blue wizard guys) and their rain of fire in the backgroun, while some Clerics (brown guys) look eager to join the fray.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Moving on to the campaign map; the lands of Azeroth.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The lands of the Orcish Horde.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Another shot of the map.

Looking pretty damn good stuff, there.

Agree... work is going fast, I must say! I like the mustaches on the humans, it's so Warcraft(1 or 2)-ish (I didn't like the third one, 2D was the essence of the game for me). Those Daemons look scary, really! (I don't even want to imagine their stats!)

It looks so good! I've not played any of the Warcraft games, but I'll probably play this when its done simply to see the awesome fireballs in action. And the fact it looks great too of course.

Added some more screens, mostly showcasing SotK's new building models for the campaign map.

Looking nice! How are you going to do it with economic resources, considering they're only two possible ones (wood and gold?)

I'm going to put some wood and gold around the map. :P

Wow. I really like the footmen. *Childhood flashbacks*...
I used to play Warcraft 2 at my friends house ages ago.

Isn't it kind of hard to have good trade between cities when they're only two resources? That's where my point was going :P. From what I understand, trade only works between two cities if one of them doesn't have what the other one has (which kinda makes sense)

Just remember the goal in TWOH is not to build great empires, establish trade networks, or buy map information - it is to destroy the enemy!  8)

This seems to be very good!! Can I have a log of the progresses since this is the first time I see this mod? :)

Thank you  :)

A log? As in all that's been done up to this point or news about what's still being done?

Right now all the only thing standing in the way of a release is the unit cards.

*coughSotKcough*
