Well guys the patiently awaited second installment of Wibbulniblia is here. Thanks for sticking with me guys.
THE LAST DAY OF WIBBULNIBLIA
The Wibbulniblians gathered in the Great Hall to once again determine the fate of Wibbulniblia. "I'm suspicious of Former Doomchild and Former Debux," began Former NightAngel, "but I must say that Former Debux's randomness has given me more reason to doubt him, so I vote Former Debux." Both Former Doomchild and Former Calisthenis suspiciously agreed, but by this point it was too late. Despite the protestations of the incredibly depressed Chancellor, Former Debux went down under a flurry of blows, revealing a hammer, thrust into his belt as he fell. Former Debux was the Witch Hunter. "You fool," Former Calisthenis cackled, looking at Former NightAngel, "now this city will be ours!" So saying, he and Former Doomchild donned their war aspects and proceeded to rip Former NightAngel apart with their claws. After sating their bloodlust, they immediately sat down to feed, before contemplating how to conduct their glorious orgy of bloodshed upon the unsuspecting city.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the Daemons, Chancellor Phoenix had fled with the Queen into the countryside and onwards to the port-city of Jimbobland, where they could hire Daemon-hunting mercenaries to retake the city.
SO WHAT HAPPENED NEXT I HEAR YOU ASK?
Both Queen Airhead and Chancellor Phoenix fled together to the port city of Jimbobland, making their way through the gates under the cover of darkness, hoping that such an inauspicious time might prevent any malevolent bystanders from accosting the Queen. They rented three rooms for the night, one for the Queen, one for the Chancellor and another for all the Queens baggage that had been hauled by teams of heretofore unmentioned servants. These servants slept outside in the snow.
The next morning the servants had been replaced by many footprints in the freshly laid snow, leading in many directions, but all away from the inn, or, perhaps more to the point, the annoyingly obnoxious woman inside. While Chancellor Phoenix left to find out about the price of eggs (mercenaries really, why on Earth would they want eggs?) the Queen finally did something for herself and cut her hair, crying as she did so, as to better blend into the populace. Admittedly her rather slapdash efforts served all the more to single her out as a peasant with an exceptionally bad barber, but no one would ever suspect her for a Queen.
Meanwhile Chancellor Phoenix was able to find eleven mercenaries for hire, most of them appeared to be fresh-faced rookies and none of them seemed to know each other, having been collected from all over the city. This was all to the Chancellor's advantage, as he planned to hide the Queen in amongst them as another of their number in an attempt to hide her in plain sight.
With the men in his wake, Chancellor Phoenix headed back to the inn, where the Queen was waiting. Seeing her tear-stained face (and horrible haircut) he quickly ushered her back inside where he proceeded to wipe the tears from her face (and neaten up her hair for good measure). Together they walked back outside and, on the track with the mercenaries, back to Wibbulniblia.
Wibbulniblia was cold and deserted when they arrived three days later. Over this time the Queen had mingled with the mercenaries to the point where no one knew which one she was. Only the two men who the Chancellor had noticed were of Wibbulniblian heritage, that Chancellor Phoenix had picked out secretly as bodyguards knew that she was any different to the others. They set up camp on the first night and prepared to retake the city.
There are four roles now.
Queen:
One of the eleven players is the Queen. For the Queen to win, all the Daemons must be dead. She acts exactly like a Mercenary.
The Bodyguards:
There are two Bodyguards. They know who the Queen is. The Bodyguards automatically lose if the Queen is killed. They win if she wins. The two Bodyguards act seperately and will probably protect someone.
The Daemons:
The Daemons make up an unknown quantity of the hired mercenaries. They must remain hidden from the populace if they want to survive. To win they must kill the Queen and outnumber the Mercenaries and Bodyguards.
The Mercenaries:
Everyone else. Townies with bite.

Debux peeks his head around corners and into windows, looking for sleeping places. As he eventually finds the sleeping place of A Flying Shoe, he fails to notice the guanaco (or possibly a llama) in the back of the room. Sneaking up on the unsuspecting sleeper, Debux wakes up the unaware camelid, and is crushed instantly by its confusing bulk.
The moral of this story is to keep your nose out of the story if you're not in it. :P

Morning all, you know i had this craziest dream that we should never try to lynch anyone whos name begins with a D don't you all think that's an excellent idea?

Crossbow Joe was walking down the street, blade in hand, looking for a Daemon. He had heard strange noises fom outside his sleeping place and, provided they were not the fault of Debux, it would be assumed that the sounds belonged to a Daemon. Turning a corner into an even darker alleyway, Joe continued to explore. Eventually, he found a storm drain with the cover resting along side it. Naturally, Joe leant over the drain in an attempt to discern what was within it. At this point a strong jolt hit his back, toppling him in. Lying on the floor of the drain with a broken back, Joe was helpless as the lid was dragged over the drain. A soft growl emanated from his left and he realised that he was not alone down there.
The group met once again in a delapidated hall upon the morning. Chancellor Phoenix looked around and noticed the loss of Joe. "We appear to have lost a brave man. I knew Joe. He was Jimboblandian and fought in the wars as an allied crossbowman. You must find the Daemons amongst us. I'll leave you to it."
It is now Day 2. Time to discuss amongst yourselves who's the culprit.
Day 2 will conclude on the 28th of August at 9am GMT.

I think Comrade's ideas are flawed - somebody has to place random blame, after all.
I find Doomchild's addition of himself to that bandwagon more suspicious, though, going for the person who's voting for him rather than making any particular effort.
For now I shall level the scoreboard and Vote Doomchild.

My vote still stands, as now I have a reason to believe Doomchild is a demon. CG understandably voted for me after making a random vote, but Doomchild didn't even attempt to reason, and as Jubal said jump on the band wagon.

this seems unfair i couldn't remember who was in our merry band of mercs and CN2 was nicely highlighted for me. Anyway isn't it a bit odd that CN2 just randomly picked me and is now claiming i am a demon because i can't reason. I'm a mercenary i don't reason i fight.

How this will work: Instead of a lynching, you guys may declare before the end of the day that you will accept Dommchild's challenge. It will work similar to a scissors-paper-rock type scenario. The first person to step forward is the Champion of Wibbulniblia.
If its a draw it can be assumed that they are the same type. Let the duel commence.

No, im not a demon, I just don't see any benefits in it because if Doomchild is a townie then it will be townie vs townie, so the town will lose 100%.
I know I am a merc, but there is a chance Doomchild is too. So yeah, the odds are against any townie. And obviously a demon wouldn't step up.

CN2 was wondering down the street, investigating someone, the identity of whom he could not share for his fear of a traitor in the midst of the mercenaries. As he walked down the street, his hand ran unobtrusively along the length of his blade, testing the edge. He had a feeling he would need to use it tonight.
A sharp crack echoed in the shadows behind him. Swiftly turning around, CN2 raised his sword to ward off any attack. He felt the satisfying jolt as his blade bit into something, which turned to fear as he realised the presence of the sword at his throat. Peering closely into the darkness CN2 recognised the face of Doomchild, one of the other hirelings. Still wary of each other, their impasse continued until a slight scuffing noise emanated from inside one of the dwellings along the street. Together they turned, smashing a window to reveal a belligerent NightAngel. Suspicion ran rampant between all three and but while NightAngel and Doomchild were conversing with each other, presumably testing each other's identity, their gaze was distracted from CN2 who was quickly dragged away and disappeared into the night.
The horror and sheer pain involved in the butchery of CN2 cannot be expressed here for LordRyan might read this and as a 14 year old, he may be too young to view such records. At any rate, CN2's story ended this night in much pain and blood.
The next morning arrived and the hirelings and the Chancellor arrived once again in the structurally unsound hall. "Where is CN2?" Chancellor Phoenix asked. "It is strange sir, but he was just carried off into the night," Doomchild responded. The party set out and eventually found the remains of the mangled CN2 stuffed in three biscuit tins. The sheer brutality left no doubt in any mind that CN2 must have been a loyal mercenary.
It is now Day 3. Time to discuss amongst yourselves again who's the culprit.
Day 3 will conclude on the 3rd of September at 9am GMT.

It is a real shame about CN2, if only i could have seen his innocence earlier i might have saved him. In terestingly it was Nightangel who distracted my attention when CN2 was cruely taken so agree with Dimos and Vote: Nightangel and before anyone says anything im not jumping on the band wagon im making nd informed judgement that coincides with the views of Dimos.

And also Nightangel might be innocent. Though my vote still stands against him, I will re-think of it a bit. We must try to lynch someone to invastigate the suspects better... reactions etc... by what if they are silent dudes?

Joe: Dead, Mercenary.

Dimos: ...myself... investigating [IMO]
Doomchild: seams to invastigate, though withough reason, suspect

my conclusion is this: The demons might be inactive, leaving us to take the fight against us. Should we all active members remove the standing votes and give them to an inactive memer? Or those demons are active, social being? Need everyone's replies, otherwise they are sucpects to me.

All I can say is this, I have only just got back off holiday and I'm busy filling in some applications for jobs next year. So I'm a little bit busy at the moment so if I am inactive more than usual, then I'm sorry. I'll try to get on as much as possible, but if you don't see me for a few days, then this is why. along with my job I also have, and the fact i am playing in a cricket final on Sunday. Therefore, I may not be on much at all unfortunately :(
Ta da. Anyway, I vote Dimos. I don't think I have ever seen anyone take it this seriously before, and this leads me to the suspicion that he is actually a Daemon who is trying WAY too hard to cover his identity.

CG seems to me to be the most suspicious person posting atm. The part I quoted above suggests to me a daemon trying to lead us into lynching an inactive townie.
We have no way of knowing if the inactive people have simply been lurking and submitting night actions (silent killer if you like) or whether they have been genuinely inactive (not sending in night actions --> unlikely to be a daemon since we have had killings).
For example, I don't think I've seen Mark post anywhere, so I would suspect he is of the second variety. However, someone like Jubal who is posting elsewhere could potentially be a lurking daemon. Inactivity is no reason to vote for anyone, and neither is "taking it too seriously" (Goldy :P ).
Anyway, after looking through the last couple of days, CG seems most suspicious and therefore I'm going to vote for CG

What are you talking about? I've only voted for CN2, which was based on faulty logic in a time when all of us were scared and pointing fingers too randomly. I only found out that this had started today. I was on an Exilian Holiday with Minecraft and Morrowind.

This is a tough one my friends.
There are so many possibilites. The main ones seem to be, CG, Nightangel (allthough he seemed to have been let off the hook), Dimos and Goldy. I have been hanging back reading all the evidence put forward, for I want to avenge the death of my dear friend CN2, however, I also do not want to lynch any of my other friends if they are in fact innocent. So, I am at quite a loss here. All arguments are good. One that did seem suspisous was you Dimos calling CG, I think it was a piece of meat. Wasnt a good move mate. Lynching someone for being inactive is wrong too, I mean I havent been able to get to a computer, so I have to use my phone and its hard to post and give proper opinions. So, thats why I have only said few words. So, no, lynching someone like that is wrong, and also very suspisous.
What I believe we should do, is somebody please, wrap up all suspious items and put them too a name and we may be able to work something out from there. If that is too hard I understand, however all of this is sort of confusing and in a mess, so would it be possible for somebody to wrap it all up so, we may work it all out lads?

the major problem is that if we don't lynch no-one during the days, then during the night, only mercenaries will die. That means that the demons will soon overpower us. I think we must lynch, as we should have done during day 1. Take action people of Wibbulonia or we will soon perish. >:( :-\

"You hear a faint noise as you walk past a storm drain. Confused you walk closer to investigate "Lynch....Lynch" the voice drones, sounding somewhat similar to the recently departed Joe's Voice"

Ladyhawk awoke in the middle of the night to find that she was not where she had fallen asleep. She seemed to have been deposited on the roof of an abandoned dwelling. Trying to get her wits about her, her head whipped around in an attempt to discover where she was. Her hand reached down to grasp her sword, she realised it wasn't there. Something was very wrong. When the beasts finally came to feed, she had already saved them the trouble by slashing at her own throat with a shattered roof tile.
The next morning, the absence of Ladyhawk was noticeable. Chancellor Phoenix asked, "Where is Ladyhawk? Her absence is noticeable. (Yes I know what I did there. :P ) None could say, but she was in fact a faithful mercenary. Well faithful to money at any rate.
It is now Day 4. Time to discuss once more.
Day 4 will conclude on the 9th of September at 9pm GMT.

I agree, the fact CG is still alive puts a lot of suspicion on him. IF he is a mercenary, then Jubal seems suspicious for quickly starting the vote on him (the logic there being it is likely that CG will be lynched in the day, so kill someone else at night).

This is the one thing which bothers me about voting for you. Although I don't see any reason to suspect Dimos, I find it strange that yesterday you said you weren't going to vote for him (or myself) and also that he wasn't killed in the night. The whole CG is still alive thing could be a neat trick by the daemons if they expected you to be lynched today. The fact that people who accused you yesterday aren't dead suggests you are innocent, but then again you could simply be a daemon killing people who aren't accusing you simply to create this effect.

As he realised that the crowd was turning against him, CG donned his war aspect and attempted to take on the gathering townies. "You traitorous fools!" he screamed in bestial fury before the mercenaries cut him down.

What Dimos says is true, for example in day 2 when CG voted to lynch CN2 (who was killed that night) the only other person to vote for him was DC. Also his constant insistence from the beginning that he is innocent has made me suspicious.

in my defence i voted for CG and he was lynched why would i vote for a demon, if i was one, when my vote was the fifth vote, the double bluff would serve no purpose if the demon was definitely going to be lynched. And i'm sorry but Dimos is always quick to place the blame on someone else and is always trying to influence the others in his favour, he is also always pushing for a lynching which is not what we want, we want to get the demons Dimos wants anyone to die as long as it furthers his demon aims.

And when you cast your vote on CG it was already obvious how the day would end, and if I was in CG's shoes I would have advised my fellow daemons to vote for me so as to blend in with the mercs and have a claim to innocence for the next day. I'll happily reconsider my suspicions if you give reasons for your defence of CG early on in the game, and also for the reason that wherever he voted you did too until the day we lynched him.
Finally, how is a lynching not what we want? If we just do nothing and call each other daemons, we can be picked off in the night, assuming the daemons have stopped trying to frame inactives...

Do you remember what you and CG did during the day 1? That's why from this time on most of the mercenaries where suspicious of you and CG. At least your fellow, CG is down... To clarify, a no-lynch would be bad, but potentially not as bad as lynching a merc I guess (losing max. 1 rather than max. 2). I am wondering why DC needs another to protect him, and can't adequately defend himself (even if only to make me doubt my decision as CG did).
I doubt Jubal is scum after starting the vote against CG, and this post makes be doubt it even more; why would a daemon risk vehemently defending another like this - if DC is lynched and is scum then Jubal will surely be lynched tomorrow...
This makes me want to unvote, but DC's suspicious posting up until today keeps me worried...

Hmm.
This suggests maybe inactives are the way forward.
But first;
Mark - inactive, voted against CG once CG was already lynched.
Dimos - active, voted against CG, voted against DC after he perceived DC to be behaving strangely.
Jubal - seemingly innocent, since he apparently knew of the innocence of DC.
NightAngel - only ever seems to join bandwagons once evidence for both sides has been presented by others. Perhaps innocent with nothing more to add.
Goldy - inactive-ish, voted against Dimos for minor reasons (DC's suspicions), voted against CG once CG was already lynched.
DeathNade - inactive, voted against DC by agreeing with previous arguments.
SotK - me, voted against CG after lots of suspicious behaviour, voted against DC due to perceived suspicious behaviour, should have listened to Jubal :( .
The lynching of DC yesterday which was mainly based on the fact his behaviour was strange at times (for me anyway) makes me not really want to go after NA for similar reasons.
If the daemons were active, then the last night and the night before (both uneventful) could have been used to pretty much end the game (assuming that there are at least 2 daemons left). This would have meant two more dead mercs, and then at best the situation would have been 3 mercs/2 daemons. Why an active daemon would waste this opportunity I cannot see, so I think that inactives are the way forward despite my earlier misgivings about such a path. This leaves Mark, Goldy and DeathNade. Yesterday Dimos suggested he has reason to believe (he 'clearly knows') that Jubal's vote against DeathNade was a bad move. I am inclined to accept this idea at the moment and think the best course of action would be to at least pressure Goldy or Mark.
Of course, I can consider alternate possibilities such as Jubal's support of DC covering his back and making him seem innocent to us. However I was looking too deeply into the whole Doomchild situation yesterday, and also to a certain extent the CG lynching. I feel that this time I should go with my gut feeling that Jubal seems innocent.
Anyway, I will Vote: Goldy for now, lets see what happens.

To clarify, I voted Goldy not Mark since going on my assumptions that there are 2 (or more) daemons Goldy was the most active out of the people I see as potential daemons right now. And it is better to get rid of a mildly active daemon than a more fully inactive one.

Sorry it took me so long to get around to this guys.
The hirelings gathered once more to discuss who should die. Accusations were tossed around both between Mark and Goldy but eventually the people came to decision. Within moments Goldy shed his human form and grew large fangs and claws ready to take on all comers. Unfortunately for him, this invited no less than five swords in his face.

Sorry I've been away handling cows at a show for three days, and what about Death Nade. He hasn't been very active either. If you vote for me than the game will be ruined because I'm the one who encouraged the second Wibbulniblia. :D Oh and on that topic, there has to be a third Mafia about... either the queen attacking the daemons or the daemons spreading and trying to take the port where us mercs came from. That would make it all the more fun... or maybe not. Wibbulniblia is honestly starting to get boring. Maybe it's just that i'm not here enough. ;)

I didn't know he was lynched at the time, I need to read what I have missed more thoroughly and I was just making a point that when he said that he was away on holidays it sounded like he was trying to justify that he was away.
