the Large Hadron Collider is due to be turned on at CERN on September the 10th despite ridiculous amounts of media coverage claiming it will end the world
What do you think?
-
I think it's a great opportunity, it's one of the most expensive pieces of kit ever built and I'm really excited about how it could help us learn about particles that we currently haven't even recorded.
Oh, and it won't end the world.
-
uummm what is it?
-
The largest, most powerful particle accelerator ever built. Basically it smashes atoms into each other really, really, really fast, they smash up and scientists watch what happens.
-
OMG!! THIS THING WILL DESTROY THE WORLD!!!!
jks jks
-
I leave everything in my will to Jubal.
-
Awesome.
*Ninjas, you know what you have to do*
-
It wont kill us all,I was talking about it today. It has already been used successfully but im not really sure what they got out of it except a few photos of the particles flying through the air for a trillianth of a second.
btw *go my flying ninjas,to protect marcus!*
-
did you lot hear?
apparently the scientists created a small black hole and put a chair in it
* :ph43r: four-armed ninjas with jetpacks you know your orders wait until the rambo lawyer has changed the will till you get marcus*

So thats where that chair came from... Damn those scientists!
