And here it is, over two years after the conclusion of the first Wibbulniblian adventure, we have this latest exploration of the human psyche. Good luck everyone. :D
SO WHAT HAPPENED?
After the Queen and Chancellor Phoenix returned to Wibbulniblia with a stout band of mercenaries in tow, the kingdom was subject to a short period of intense violence, followed by a long period of calm. It seemed that the mercenaries were successful, and away they went to ply their various, stabby trades in various, stabby warzones.
Things were quite and for the next few years, peaceful.
And then the murders began again. First it was the rodents, which were found piled up in front of doors upon the dawn, bereft of heads, limbs and entrails. Swiftly it became apparent that there had been a sudden boom in the feline population which no one had picked up on, for whatever reason.
These numbers became so extreme that people began using the animals as a food source, cultivating small parasites on the felines which could be picked off and fried to create delicious snacks for the children. As can be imagined, many children did not like eating the crunchy bits and in time, floors everywhere were covered in dead, fried fleas.
But none of this really matters.
Because no one cared about the dead rodents when small piles of human organs were found pushed deep into letterboxes aroud the city. No one really cared about this either, until those letterboxes started to overflow with waste material. That gathered some attention and eventually Chancellor Phoenix put out a proclamation as his Queen refused to do so, pleading grief on account of the upcoming anniversary of her husband and son's deaths.
"HEAR YE! HEAR YE!
Come up to the castle and try and figure out if the daemons are back. We've dealt with them before, we can do it again!

As you can imagine, the proclamation was rather popular and the people clamoured to be allowed to take their stab at who was at fault.

Sorry about that I've had a busy weekend.
Comrade_General walks alone through the city after a long day of discussing little with the rest of the civilians. He laments to himself his inability to do much to help his town.
Unfortunately for Comrade_General, his lamentations draw the attentions of a predator, sent out to collect a very specific life. The beast pounces on the hapless man and gouges out his eyes before scoring a five-pointed star on his chest.
Comrade_General's mutilated body is found in the middle of the street the next morning.

We will, Comrade...
Pentagathus, Jubal and Othko seam more suspicious to me. Othko wants to appear as a defender of justice in public, while he might be a demon in reality. Jubal tried to keep a low profile, toss some speculation, post his conserns on being lynch-voted and possibly tried to mislead the public with ... vicious ways. Pentagathus modified CG's post and tried to throw accusations based on no evidence to many other players. On the other hand, the demons might be hidden, they might not speak, wanting to avoid being accussed and trying to lure the players in their trap... We must act, soon!

I find it intervesting zat there are wuns in ze shadows, regular participants in ozher veys but not tryink to solve zis murder. For now my theories are kept to mineself but I zink zat soon, telltale signs vill emerge.

Scarlet walks alone through the town, but for a very good friend. She trusts this friend implicitly. But he has a terrible secret, one that will lead to a trail of bloodshed and misery in Wibbulniblia.
When her back is turned, her friend strikes, first strangling her and then carving a crescent moon on the corpse's forehead.
In the morning her body is found, cold and lifeless on the cobbles.

The concept thread seems to imply that the demons don't actually know they're demons because the demons are possessing peeps so yeah PG might just be pointing to this with the friend thing. I'm gona vote for Joob anyway because I can't see any other leads. Unless the pentagram and crescent are pointing out something I'm missing.

If it turns out that Jubal is good the I think the first hypothesis must be right, in which case it will be even tougher for us to find those who are actually scum. At the moment though, there is no way to be sure and so I think Jubal is probably our best lead... Although that foreigner Rob did mention he was the worlds greatest detective or something, maybe he has info?
Anyway, for now I'm going to go ahead and Vote: Jubal.

Of the above I think I have most suspicions of Penty/SOTK OR Rob/Dimos as possible teams, as those were the groups yesterday in voting.
On gut instinct, I'll vote: Pentagathus for now, though I'm happy to hear other suggestions. Maybe try and get some of the inactives to talk by threatening to lynch them (or actually doing so?)

Sorry for the delay.
During the long night, there is much screaming. Those who are inside, stay inside, even those brave few familiar with blood. Wibbulniblia is riven with discord and several fall before dawn breaks over the city.
The mangled and burned body of Jubal is found in his own home, first stabbed through the chest and then later burned to death judging by the bloody smears all over the floor from where it appears he dragged himself through the house.
In the room from where the blood trails come from, there is a shattered window and another dead body. Dimos lies on the ground amongst the shattered glass with a blood-stained knife clenched in his fist. Beside his corpse is a triangle painted in blood with the sigil of an open, angular eye.
It is now Daytime. Get lynching.
Day 5 will conclude on the 10th of September at 10pm GMT.
