Title: Rob's Skyrim Mods
Post by: Clockwork on August 08, 2013, 01:16:45 PM
Sooo I'm planning on creating a couple of mods, really basic. In fact I've started both and they've both gone wrong.

What I'm trying to do is create 2 NPC followers, one is a wood elf ranger companion scales with you 1:1 blah blah blah. Class is sorted, look is sorted however shes naked and won't say the right things :(

I did follow the instructions on a tutorial...sort of. I know why shes naked actually, I think, I didn't give her anything in her follower inventory but that's because I want to be able to replace her items with upgraded duplicates when I can smith properly. So her items are just in regular inventory, I think I may just need to wait a couple of days until she equips her clothes and weapons.

The dialogue, I have no idea where to begin. I set her faction to potential hireling and potential follower, so that might be wrong. but her dialogue consists of her saying, "Yes?" and my reply being, "Perhaps another time".

Second NPC is a cultists at the shrine of Boethia, just someone to take the spike through the chest because I like my followers. Even Cosnach. He is not naked but I have no idea how to do custom dialogue and couldn't find a tutorial vid to help me out with that one.

Could someone help me out please?

I can't help you much there. I don't know much about modding TES except for Interior and Exterior work.

Possibly Nexus Mods might help you out in regards to modding for Skyrim.

Thank you, I've since got it working along with a few more companions. I did go to nexus and got the info I needed there ;)

But there isn't much love for skyrim here afaik so I stopped posting about it :P

I love it so much, I've got 15 Gbs of Skyrim mods, half of them are incompatible with each other too. ;D If you give me a link I'll download your mod. :) (As long as it isn't on the Steam Workshop)

I've not uploaded it anywhere it was just for personal use and now probably gone as I've removed Skyrim since. I could make it again if you're eager for more companions though?

Is it within your power to make quests?

I could give it a go, what did you have in mind?

The things that are for certain outside of my power are textures and models but I'm willing to try and accommodate anything else you want ;)

Well, a quest where you have to rescue someone from a bandit fort's prison/dungeon without them dieing would be a good start. :) Nothing too complicated.

Alright I'll give it a go, I have no idea how long it'll take or if I'll be able to do it :D

If you have a basic understanding of the script that it uses than it shouldn't be too hard to learn.
