You know Geroia is a republic? But isn't Lezalit the second son of the Count of Geroia? Just an observation.

Are you making claimants for all the new kingdoms? If so, you could make Lezalit into the Geroian one...?

Progress; added (nearly) full functionality for town watch commander. As a town watch commander, you can now command troops to follow, hold, or patrol an area.

Added Blackjack poker in taverns.

Working on religious stuff - you can recruit knights of the Red Lion now.

Red Lion? Heroes of many a hard-fought pub crawl?

It is a bit of a joke, the templar orders - red lion, green dragons, white horses, golden rams, and white swans - are all named after pubs.  :P

I will always update the above to the most recent released download, and I'll tell you when I've got a new one out, a few weeks seems a likely timescale...

I feel a bit stupid asking this but I have a couple questions:
How do you shield bash?
and
How do you become town watch commander?
Title: Southern Realm
Post by: Jubal on January 10, 2009, 10:32:34 AM
Shield bash; in battle, right click (i.e. block) then left click while it's held down.

Town Watch; Talk to a guildmaster, ask about bandit problems. In the released beta you need to press tab after he gives you the job (the dialog doesn't close), and a couple other bugs too.

Oh, and while I'm at it, any hints where I can find this legal smart guy I'm supposed to find for some court case or something?
Title: Southern Realm
Post by: Jubal on January 11, 2009, 09:55:19 AM
Two hints;

- He's in a city, and never moves from where he starts off (until you take him back to Zendar)
- You're looking for someone very, very important in this mod.

Hello, mr. Jubal! I am a new guy here. Are you a creator of this mod? i do like it. So, i humbly requesting from you a bear model for the my mod. All your copiyrights will be saved.

The bear model is from Fantasy Mod, so they should be credited rather than me. Other than that AFAIK it's open source.

Just to ask, does the new version allow the player to start a kingdom/get lords?

Also, is there going to be that mega quest you mentioned where the player tries to gain control of a kingdom?

No, and yes but not yet sadly.

I have a question, where can you purchase or get your hands on a firearm? and are they even out? another question is which faction should I join I don't want to join a big one but not a very large one either...so many choices!!!!

You can get one firearm at Veluca University for testing purposes.

As for faction choices, it depends how you like playing. If you like mobile, aggressive warfare the Khergit are a good choice, or if your prefer a solid & disciplined combined arms force Alania or Gorinia are good choices. If anti-cavalry is your thing, some Geroian pikemen would be good for you. Aurothia is also intereting, with excellent skirmishers and medium infantry and cavalry that are an excellent compromise between heavy knights and fast horse-archery forces.

I've got exaaaaams. :(

Other than that, fine. New-look sea battles are in progress (though aforementioned exams are distinctly halting said progress), and generally things are going OK.

This is a really great mod, and I'm sure that the next release is going to be even better.

I realize that exams are probably pretty rough, but you've mentioned that you already have a fix for the problem where you can't recruit heroes in taverns.

Would it be possible for you to post that file as a patch? Because playing this mod is pretty rough without a medic or tactician.

Thanks for anything you can do, whenever you can do it.

Working on adding;

- A Better Tactics Set
- Re-designed ("Streamlined") skill/job systems
- New skills, including possibly area effect attacks and spear bracing
- Rebalancing some factions (you will NOT like the new version of the Tribal Bjornsarks)

Area effect attacks and spear bracing would be really nice !
I've heard that Warband uses a morale and tactics set ... Is that true ?
