Title: End Times: Archaon
Post by: Silver Wolf on February 21, 2015, 05:22:43 PM
Chaos warriors wil get new a Bloodthirster (few variants) and two new units: Wrathmongers and Skullreapers.
Archaon keeps the old model.

I like the Bloodthister model, but I'm not impressed with the new guys. I was expecting more armour to be honest.
I would have been happier if they just made proper chaos chosen/warriors for each Chaos god.

I do actually like the classic Archaon model.

The first pic of the new Bloodthirster I like, the second one far less so - too much armour for something that's supposed to have just torn its way onto the material plane from the outer dread realms of Chaos.

The aesthetic of these feels more like 40K than Fantasy to me somehow. Is that just me?

Nope, I think the same.

Style-wise they don't feel like a part of Warhammer.
I would have preferred Skullcrusher-like chosen.

I'd have preferred something a bit rougher and more "barbarian" in feel too.

But ah well - I don't think I'm the target market any more anyway.  :P
