Title: Tabletop simulator.
Post by: Pentagathus on October 28, 2015, 10:07:53 AM
Sup bitches. So there is a tabletop simulator on steam which cam be used to play all manner of classic tabletop games online, from chess to war games and rpgs. Has anyone here got it and would y'all be interested in doing an exilian games night? I appreciate that we're all busy people and many of us live in different time zones but it could be cool if it works.

It's on my wishlist but I've yet to get around to actually buying it. Does it perform reasonably well?

I've watched people play it on stream and it takes some getting used to but if you go through the tutorial it's easy to pick up how to use it.

I'd be up for a games night - how much does the thing cost?

Currently it's £14.99 on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/286160) but it has been discounted before. The lowest price it has been on Steam is £6.59.

Other options:
It's also on Desura (http://www.desura.com/games/tabletopsimulator), also for £14.99 at the mo' (lowest recorded price: £8.99) and the IndieGala Store (https://www.indiegala.com/store/product/286160) ($19.99, lowest recorded £8.74 apparently).

I try to keep track of its price, as you can see  ;D

Mmkay. That's affordable for me if I need to grab it when/if a thing is organised.

Yeah I haven't got it yet, wanted to see if there'd be anyone to play first. I imagine their  would either be a pre Christmas or post Christmas sale o steam?

I use isthereanydeal.com (http://isthereanydeal.com) to track when things are on sale. Email notifiers FTW.

I'll do my best to update the thread when it's on sale next.
