Which army do you think is overpowered in Warhammer Fantasy?
In my opinion it would have to be Warriors of Chaos basic troop on par with most other heroes and heroes that can get better through a battle also due to these eye of the gods advancements thier heroes own in campaigns :knight:

Daemons are prolly worst, then Hordes. WE are nasty, Dwarfs are nasty at high points values where they can afford some decent bling, anf course the Highelf ASF with greatweapon is horrible.
Probably Orcs, Dogs and CDs are the least OP armies.

Brets are OK IMO, apart from the green knight who is just annoying.

Empire is somewhere in the middle...
Dwarfs in 8th edition... I've seen 6 games and all of them were dwarf victories ...

yeah, from what I've heard on TWF (The Warhammer Forum) Dwarves are very good in 8th, empire are doing much better and warriors of chaos no longer need to do gateway spam (though they still can or purple sun spam)
orcs I still feel are a lower-middle tier army, not as amasing as was expected, though rumours of a new book in 2011, so w00t!

Well This is what I've seen :
Dwarfs vs. Chaos Warriors = CWs suffered a Crushing defeat
Orcs vs. Wood elves = a solid orc victory
Wood elves vs. Dwarfs = Crushing defeat for woodies x2 (in both games)
Dark elves vs Orcs = dark elf victory (nothing too special)
Empire (me) vs. Dwarfs = Crushing defeat for my army (I blame the dices... 2 misfires in 2 turns with my greatcannon, bad dices in melee)
Empire vs. Dark elves = dark elf victory (I've killed more than a half of his army, but he was just damn lucky... He rolled fives & sevens all the time)

Wood eleves took a huge hit with the nerf to skirmishers
Dark Eleves are just always going to be powerful

Ok, I've seen 1 and played 1 game today...
The first game :
Demons of chaos vs. Wood elves (2500? points)
Victory for the demons... Khorne hounds and a huge unit of Bloodletters did most of the job
Wood elfs weren't that bad, they've managed to kill a lot of demons, including a unit of bloodcrushers, loads of horrors and most of the khorne hounds...
My game :
Empire vs. High elves (500 points)
DRAW
I had a pretty armadilloty list for an empire army, mostly based on close combat units...
I was lucky and I've managed to save all of my greatswords from Loth. seaguards twice... Thanks god for their heavy plate armor... But they were armadilloty later on and they've lost the combat...
On the other hand, my swordsmen were successful... They managed to killed a unit of spearmen (20 men strong) + a mage, and the turn after they've killed what was left of the swordmasters (my mage managed to rape them a few rounds before) but they took heavy casualties...
And that was it... A small unit of Loth. seaguards and a half of my swordsmen lived to see the end of the sixth round...

This. Doesn't matter what edition, WoC's are evil. And not just, "I'm gonna eat your babies and defecate everywhere" (You know the Beastman evil :P ) but the "I'm gonna take 200 points worth of Warriors and beat the living 5#1T out of your entire army" evil.
Not that that's ever happened to me of course... :-/
