You and your sailors head EAST, where the ground rises on either side into a rock-and-mud-sided VALLEY. The slope to the north is a little less steep, although some of the rocks and mud look loose - you nonetheless can probably scramble OVER it. To the south is a flat, tall cliff face, and the valley continues downward to a round ending point that you can see some way to the EAST.
