Here is another one I wrote up hastily, hope you like it.
We are the guardians of a Empire.
Selected out of millions for a need most dire.
We pledged ourselves to our sire.
Bred for protecting our people.
Now all alone under the star-filled sky.
Listening to the night go by.
Peace's perfection broken by a screeching cry!
They are awake.
Like shadows in the dark they crept.
For centuries they had slept.
A secret that has long been kept.
Creatures as terrifying as death itself
Now the dreaded ones are here.
Destroying all that we once held dear.
Unleashing an age of hate and fear.
Our time has finally come.
Wake the warriors from bed.
Let the storm crows fly overhead!
Let the skys and fields run red!
Our time is here!
I dislike the feel of this one at the moment, going to add a better rhyming scheme with better rhymes and more coherence. I actually have many other better poems, but they are all of a personal make ;)
