What kind of music do you like?
-
Rock / Punk rock mostly
-
I like a total mix. Mostly singer-songwriter stuff (Simon & Garfunkel, Leonard Cohen, Judy Collins), folk (Cara Dillon, Fairport Convention) and modern acoustic stuff (Webb Sisters), but I also like jazz, some classical/film soundtrack stuff, and of course satirical stuff (Tom Lehrer and Wierd Al).
I've written one or two songs myself as well. :)
-
I love rock, indie metal anything along those lines but I also love as Jubal saod acoustic music, folk and jazz :)
If you like acoustic then check out Black Stone Cherry's acoustic stuff, its pretty good and has a rock theme to it :D
-
I like various types of metal - mostly death or melodic death metal, some power metal, and lots of folk metal. I like a bit of heavy rock too.
I also like a fair bit of folk and classical music.
-
Listening to Bellowhead atm. :)
Has anyone here heard of Pete Atkin? I've been re-listening to his stuff recently, it's great.
-
Hans Zimmer atm.
-
Pirates, or Gladiator?
-
Modern Warfare 2
Here's one I personally likes :

Ah OK, I never knew he'd done game soundtracks.
-
Heavy Metal mainly, although I do enjoy some lighter rock from time to time as well. I like some classical at times as well.
-
Lots!! Too many to name, but atm i have LOVE for Metric and also White Lies, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, the Beatles, Linkin Park, the Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon for some reason :p, the Prodigy and so many others.
-
White Lies are awesome!
-
I feel wierd looking at all your less eccentric musical tastes. :D
-
My tastes are similar to yours Jubal, I like a wide range of stuff, including, but not restricted to: Medieval Punk Rock and folk-rock. The Ukulele Orchestra of GB are good as well. I like some more conventional bands, like The Who, The Jam, The Pogues, Motorhead, The Levellers, David Bowie, Bob Marley, and satirical stuff like Weird Al and Lehrer, like Jubal.
-
orchestral soundtracks and 80's hair metal are pretty high on my list :)
-
Soundtracks are great - particularly for really epic movies (Gladiator, LOTR, Pirates).
-
And "The Fountain"... It's soundtrack was composed by Clint Mansell, my favourite compositor...
-
Current listening:

;D

Don't we have a playlist thread for sharing what you're currently listening to? :P
Awesome soundtrack though. 8)
-
The Pirates and LotR soundtracks are awesome as Jubal said.
Aside from that AC/DC and Bon Jovi. There is others but I can and will listen to Wanted Dead or Alive over and over again, all day. In fact I have a playlist of three different variations of that same song.
Oh and Weird Al is cool too.
-
For me, Heavy Metal.
However, I could listen to the soundtrack Phoenixguard just posted non stop all day :)
-
Hehe just a status update. That is now 11 versions of Dead or Alive...
Eccentric? I think so. :P
-
Hehe update: I listen to all music now :P Hehehehe. I grew up. :P
-
Haha, good for you LH.
I can listen to almost anything but lately I prefer melodic metal(mostly blind guardian but anything work), Sabaton, RHCP, the Doors and Fort minor
-
Foooooooooooolk ftw. :P
-
Hey cool :) I have a Blind Guardian CD. :) I dont listen to it, you want it :P
-
It would probably cost him less to buy one than it would cost you to fly it to Europe by airmail. :P
-
Thnx for the offer but as Jubal said it's cheaper for me to buy it then it is for you to mail it :)
-
Make it funky! (got love Jon lee Hooker or Jon lee or Jon Booker or Jonny Hooker or whatever other names he used.)
But also ska, reggae, rock, blues, punk, beach pop, gypsy, swing erm actually might as well say what I don't like. Really heavy metal/screamo, dubsteb, most modern R&B, most of the armadillo you hear on BBC radio 1, and opera singing.
-
Lots of Vampire weekend since last year. Might say I'm a fan.
Took a small brake from Rise Against and punk rock in general. I love those guys, I've been listening to them almost every day for last 6 years, but it's not working for me lately. But in due time, I shall undoubtedly return.

Last two days it was Linkin Park all the way. New divide fckin rules.
-
Show of Hands are awesome.
-
Folk music, (traditional Irish/scottish/english/polish), classical (except opera), soundracks - mainly anything by John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard shore etc, ska, indie/alternative bands, jazz, blues, anything retro......i really don't like country and western music.....all the local farmers listen to it in their tractors!
-
Folk high five! :D
-
folk high five acepted :P
-
Can I join in the folk-five even though, as the warning is so kindly informing me, I am over 120 days late to the party? I feel that folk music is sufficiently awesome that the folk-five would still be continuing despite the time. A short high-five-and-you're-done is simply not up to scratch when we're talking about this level of amazeballs (dear god, did I use that term).
Generally, most music is okay until you get to the last 5 years or so.. R&B and (ohlordhelpus) Dubstep are not so much up my street. Things with a tune are good: Tom Lehrer, Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Oasis, Abba, Queen etc. (I blame my parents entirely). Musicals are often(read:nearlyalways) good. There is also an embarrassingly large amount of 80s/90s/00s pop which I enjoy.
Lyrics have a wonderful ability to stick in my brain and stay there, which probably helps quite a lot :P
-
Been practising Misty Mountains Cold on guitar. :)
-
Oh yes, epic film soundtracks too.
-
A variety of things... probably rock mainly. But musical theatre/opera arias as I sing, classical music because I play piano, film soundtracks and medieval/folk music because I have a good imagination. :P
Anything I can play on piano and sing along to as well. :)
-
Ok, time to update mine. Although my taste hasn't changed much.
Still mostly grunge, punk, rock, alt. rock, metal and dark cabaret.
