I've found this neat piece of software called Bluefish. It is geared towards web development, and is for developers who prefer to work in code, but provides many features to make that process more convenient. One of them is automatically detecting the tags you will use when you type them, and providing a list that match what you have typed, allowing you to quickly select what you want, complete with closing tag.
It supports many languages, HTML, CSS, JS, PHP etc. and has features for all of them. Check it out! Free and Open Source, so no cost to worry about. :)
