Einstein might be wrong. The world as we know it could end.....
Ok a bit of an exaggeration on the last one, but this could potential be absolutely huge.

Thoughts?

Welcome to the Exilian YouTube Challenge Thread!   :)

I am rather proud of that  ;D

Me and Jubal came up with this idea while trying to "sell" Exilian to someone, to try to get them to come on. Annnnnnnnnnnddddddddd we couldn't think of much. So we thought that it would be good to hear other people views on Exilian, and what better way to do it than on YouTube!

So, my fellow Exilian members, you first challenge is:

Come up with a sales pitch, no more than 1 minute long, that you think would tempt a new member onto the site.

I shall give a week for this to be done, however if people need longer I shall extend the deadline.
Any ideas for this thread, and future challenges, would be gratefully recieved.

The winner each week will gain 10, thats right, 10 truimph points!
It shall be judged by me, although anyone else who wants to judge please say so, the more the merrier!

Good luck!

Best Car Ad Ever!

John Cleese, British writer, actor and tall person, has recently put this message out. I thought I'd share this with you.

In light of recent events in the Middle East...

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats, and have therefore raised their security level from 'Miffed' to 'Peeved'. Soon, though, security levels may be raised again to 'Irritated' or even 'A Bit Cross'. The English have not been 'A Bit Cross' since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies almost ran out.

Terrorists have been re-categorized from 'Tiresome' to 'A Bloody Nuisance'. The last time the British issued a 'Bloody Nuisance' warning was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanih Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from 'P***ed Off' to 'Let's Get The B*****ds'. They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British Army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert from 'Run' to 'Hide'. The only two higher levels in France are 'Collaborate' and 'Surrender'. The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from 'Shout Loudly And Excitedly' to 'Elaborate Military Posturing'. Two more levels remain: 'Innefective Combat Operations' and 'Change Sides'.

The Germans have increased their alert stage from 'Disdainful Arrogance' to 'Dress In Uniforms And Sing Marching Songs'. They also have two higher levels: 'Invade A Neighbor' and 'Lose'.

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised it's security levels from 'No Worries' to 'She'll Be Alright, Mate'. Two more escalation levels remain: 'Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend' and 'The barbie is cancelled'. So far, no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level.

I thought that it was genius and could not stop luaghing for ages :)

Forum Games - The Beer Cellar! / Change a Letter
« on: February 11, 2011, 10:21:22 PM »
In this game, we start off with a four letter word, and the next person has to change 1 letter to form a new, legitimate word

E.g. Five to Hive

Also, to make it more interesting, put it into a sentence first and make the word Bold

So...... I shall start

This is my word

Today at school, we recieved a letter saying that the school was seriously looking into becoming an Academy. this is one of Cameron's ideas which he thinks will benefit our education. Here are some of the advantages to our school that were raised in the letter:

1. A significant increase in direct funding to the school which would have previoulsy been retained by the Local Authority to provide a range of services.
2. Greater control over the school budget to achieve the best for our young people.
3. Freedom for Local Authority administration to reduce the burden of bureaucracy allowing us to focus on teaching and learning.
4. Greater flexibility over the curriculum to improve the opportunities for our students.
5. An ability to bid directly to the Department for Education for future capital funding.
6. The ability to retain our outstanding staff through improved professional opportunities.
7. The ability to continue to support our partner schools.

Me and Jubal had a discussion about this and disagreed with it unanimously.

However, before I post what I think about these points, I would like to hear what the Exilan Community think of the idea, so DISCUSS!

General Chatter - The Boozer / Jokes
« on: October 30, 2008, 07:47:02 PM »
This is a thread where you can post you funniest jokes!
please feel free!
I'll start off:
For all of you that don't watch TV or dont live in Britain, Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross recorded a very nasty message on an actor's telephone which was very rude. Brand resigned because of it and Ross has been suspended. The ironic thing is, Ross' new autobiography is called "why do i say these things"!

that was pretty bad and i made it up on the spot so anyone should be able to beat it!
