as for Horse archers? You should have seen me destroy Jubal's with cataphracts. The armour renders their arrows helpless and they cant run away from other horses.

Definitely the romans. The reasonably priced and quick to train legionary cohorts ensure victory in most situations, and when backed up with archers and mercenary cavalry make an excellent general purpose army. Once your empire gets to 30 provinces or so, the cash flow enables you to pump out cohorts. Brilliant.

Any of you ever thought of awarding the rtw geeks among us a tag for the chat lobby? I've been playing RTW for 2 or 3 years and can beat other clan memers without too much difficulty, including defeating 4 KINGS in a 4v4 where half my team comprised of noobs.
