I wonder if CA actually had someone in charge of diplomacy... so that they release a game where you loose reputation with every other nation in every turn is a bit unacceptable.

The only reason I'm looking out for S2TW is for a game with decent diplomacy, but that the main weapons are sticks and stones :P

I must mention that your plan isn't motion mine-proof (just came out from a few hours of bc2 :P)

Archaon's Loyal Allies mod

this here is excellent!

shame he didnt figure this out 5 years ago
I thought it actually didn't work, since it only mods what appears when you attempt to attack your allies (by placing your cursor on top of their army/city/etc), and since the AI doesn't use cursors, it only affects you.

The results seem to be mixed, do you have any personal experiences?

shame, although yeah, the space ship battles would have been insanely difficult. CA should have thought of adding space ship animations

*whispers* pssst! there were no Velites after Marius' Reforms!

Good looking mod, too bad I don't like the time period. It looks that your skills were improving with time though

I think it's a pretty nice mod, although what has been mentioned is pretty much my opinion (why am I the only one that gets 3 stacks of gauls when playing as macedon!?), I also want to add that some roosters suck badly (*cough* Carthage *cough*), and that factions like Rome get insane exp. bonuses due to their temples and their barracks, which is annoying. I also don't like the whole independent greeks thing, because it makes them unite against "common" adversaries (always me), something that never happened.

I don't like almost anything, I prefer XC (they added a lot of units from other mods to the Carthies :D)

I'm still 5 hours away (add 16 min. to be exact), but I doubt I'll log on at that time :P

I asked Santy Claus for headphones, historical novels, and for Empire (which I will get anyway with Steam sales)

Wow, nice metaphors. Never occured to me. Although I might consider reading them again (don't remember the one about the lamb in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, nor did I read the Last Battle.

RTW, although I wonder how I came to know this series. I was looking for a game that expanded the unit capacity (compared to the unit number limitations that AoE imposed). RTW just killed me when I got it.

I'd play the older ones for the supposed better AI, but I doubt they will run for Win7 64 bit :P. I also doubt I could stand seeing sprites fighting each other

So the mod is going for a more focused imperial campaign on italy?

Oh, and I do feel honored to appear on the overview thread
