Reading some sciency news and I came across this

MDMA (ecstasy) apparently causes users to feel more empathy and makes it easier for autistic peeps to socialise.
And then I started thinking bout drugs in general and our attitudes to them and I was curious as to what you bitches be thinking. Personally I'm all for legalising most drugs because it would put drug dealers out of a job and tbh if people want to portugal themselves up I feel that is their choice. Also a few currently illegal substances are rather nice.

Anyone else find that particularly annoying when someone asks what you're reading whilst you're busy reading? And then they ask you what its about because apparently they can't read the portugaling blurb on the back of the portugaling book.
Anyway I'm currently reading  The Quest For The Holy Ale. Its kind of like a discworld book, but only if pratchett was completely off his tits whilst he wrote it.

So this boozer kind of lacks in the booze department, so I thought we could come up with a list of fun drinking games, mainly because I was watching new girl and this awesome looking drinking game was on there.

Forgot battleshots, its battleships with shots instead of pegs. Losing team has to drink the winners' remaining battleships.

I've been talking to some of my friends who are going to have their leaver's day next week. One of them was talking about getting tottaly wasted and stoned in school but it seems rather pointless to me.
1) becuase he can do that straight after school when everyone's doing it
2) becuase he might get kicked out and have to do his exams at that place in the city
3) he might want to remember leaver's day
4) it'l probably be more fun if he's sober anyway
5) people will think he's a tit, or tring to be a hardman.

Mordheim / So Halberds suck

+1 str is pretty sucky compared to the bonus from two hand weapons or a strongman with a two handed weapon. So there is little reason to take a halberd. Which sucks becuase Halberds look awesome.
So I think that Halberds should either get always strike first (like spears) or cutting edge (like axes.)
Not bothered too much though.

This reply was backed by everyone else.

"No, each hero has their skill list. he MIGHT be referring to the fact of the Lad's Got Talent skill roll. With it, your NEW HERO that was previously a Henchman can now CHOOSE TWO SKILL LISTS from existing Heroes on the warband to learn from in the future. Otherwise, follow your warband rules for each Hero and their Skill Lists available to them."

Death has come to the empire. In the form of war, in the form of famine, in the form of plauge, it matters not, for death allways means one thing. Opportunity.
Never has the opportinity been greater, the emperor is dead and who is there to claim the throne?
The Paw of Ulric of course.
They are a cult shrouded in mystery and rumour, viewed as outcasts by some, kings and great lords by others. Are they noble priests or abominations? The only thing the rumours agree on is that they are dedicated to Ulric, the wolf of winter.
Hector Khanvall imperial tactician is one of the few who know the truths behind the rumours, a man of the north who has fuaght with and beside these Norscan's and gained their trust.
The Paw view Hector as the perfect reflection of their god, he is strong fast and savage in combat but is most dangerous when at the head of a pack, cunning, devious, ruthless and best of all, he allways wins.
He shall make the perfect Emperor, he shall be the one to bring Ulric to the head of the Pantheon, he shall make the Norse remember their old gods and Chaos shall quake before the wolf's howl.

Claimant:
Hector Khanvall, Kislevite and master strategist.

First Sword (Jarl)
Sigefrid Heavy Armed, inspiring leader and mighty warrior. Sigefrid has known many fears but never ran, he is strong of voice and stature, tough but lacking some of the finnese of other fighters.

High priest (Ulfwerenar)
Witnere the wolfman. Witnere means nightmare in the Norscan tounge and this is one wolfman who lives up to his name. Cursed for rejecting the gods of chaos he is strong, fast and vicious. He is the figurehead of the Paw but shall never lead due to his instable mind and blood lust.

Accolyte (Bondsman)
Guthrum the wolfbrother. Brother to Witnere and only surviving kin this brave young man looked after his brother in his madness, taking many wounds on the road to his sibling's recoring sanity. Somehow he met with the youngest son of a norse Jarl, Sigefrid the follower of Ulric. Sigefrid saw Witnere as the child of Ulric and took to two brother's in as part of his retinue.

Accolyte (Bondsman)
Sihtric the hammer. Sihtric was born and raised a Norscan, untill his father turned to chaos and became a repulsive mutant. The gods of Chaos destroyed the rest of Sihtric's family untill he was all that was left of his long line. He sailed south as a vikingr and faught agaisnt many enemies, eventualy being defeated and captured by knights of Ulric. He gained the knights' trust once they heard his tale and he became a squire to one proud but impoverished knight, Wolfsturm.  On travels with Wolfsturm the young knight drank himself to stupidity and announced his squire's lineage to an innfull of Norscan hating peasants. A fight insued which ended with Wolfsturm and many of the peasants dead. The peasants were to afraid to continue fighting Sihtric but blamed him for the murder of Wolfsturm. Sihtric was an outcast once more and he travelled north, harried all the way to the keep of Sigefrid. Sigefrid took this young follower of Ulric into his ever growing band.

Temple Guards (Maruaders)
Berfwulf and Aelthrun are two former Hurscarls of Sigefrid's household. Now they serve the charismatic Sigefrid and by turn Hector Khanvall.

Temple Guards (Huntsmen)
The Stenach twins were found poaching on the lands of Sigefrid's fahter who wanted them slain. Instead Sigefrid convinced his father to let the two hungry men fight for him, bows were needed in a strong warband and a strong warband is needed to make a youngest son a mighty lord.

The Pack (Wolves)
These two mangy beasts were drawn to Sigefrid's odd band by Witnere who leads them as any alpha wolf.

Mordheim / Shield Bash

As promised a possible shield bash house rule. Not finished yet.

Agaisnt unshielded opponents (obviously you need a shield yourself) you get one extra attack before your other attacks. This attack would be at the user's strength with +1 to hit (becuase of a shield's size) but you can't get a critical hit and the wound chart goes:
1 nothing
2-4 knocked down
5-6 stunned (only 6s if your opponent has a helmet.)

Since this would be before your other attacks you can attack your opponent while their on the floor if you knock them down or stun them which is the point of the shield bashin.

So here are the features for this beta realese:
5 new factions including undead (hopefully for next release these will be non interactive for the player) the blood counts, the dark knights of chaos, the kingdom of finagol and the empire of ryvad.
A new quest line in zendar.
Every point in leadership now lets you recruit 25 extra people instead of 3 (it might be a bit too much) and every 10 extra renown gets you another 1 man increase instead of the 25 renown.

Future realeses features:
New quests.
A new "faction" (they wont actualy be like a game faction but will be a cult) called the slayers (vampire hating racists.)
The ability to jion these new cults.
The lords of kingdoms will all get makeovers (at the moment dark knights do have plate in battle but thats it, I think i might have forgoten to give them the civilan tags as well.)
A heap of other stuff. Suggest helpful people, suggest.

Also what do you lot think of the zendar quest line? I think I'll change a bit of dialouge (well the count araces and the message translation fiasco anyway) and the amount of troops in the battle between you and the kidnappers. Can you helpfull people report any found bugs as well?

These are the python scripts for one of the new troop trees. The dumonii factions will also have archers by the way (im trying to keep them to a minimum) but I have'nt decided how the tree should go yet.
