Neat :)

You should customise one with a trumpet end for the classic blunderbuss look :P (Or just build a blunderbuss, blunderbusses are cool)

There are kits to make blunderbusses. :P

I'm pretty sure some guy in the USA was developing guns you could make on a 3d printer  :P

Well I failed at getting good pictures again because I was tired when I did the next steps, but in my defense I was working with harsh chemicals with time constraints so I couldn't really stop to take pictures. :P

You've already seen that the stock was sanded down and ready for stain, so I did that, let it dry, and added the first coat of oil.

The complicated procedure was re-bluing the metal pieces. First I had to clean and degrease them all, then use a blue/rust remover that smelled like hell, then clean and degrease again, then apply the bluing agent and let it do its thing for a minute, then rinse and repeat the bluing part again (just for the barrel though). So that's why I didn't get pictures. :P

The barrel of this one was in pretty good shape already, but I needed to re-blue the smaller pieces, so I figured I'd redo the barrel as practice for the big guys. I think it turned out pretty good.

Again it's a bad picture, but I'll get better ones once I assemble the whole thing. Just need to add a few more coats of oil to the stock and polish the brass.
I'd be more apathetic if I weren't so lethargic.

Yes, that is plan. :)

In the meantime I took a look at the rifle...

The trigger guard needs inlet a lot:

While the lock assembly is inlet too much:

The two stock pieces don't fit together flush, and the barrel tang area is hideous, so this one's going to be a bit more work.

Got the lock area sanded down flush. The rear part will need some filler due to the poor shaping around it. Also started a bit on the trigger guard area, think I'm going to do as much grinding down of the brass piece as of sanding the stock.

I'll try to get a video of shooting the little guy soon. :)
