Basically there's too much sport and news happening this year so they don't have the primetime slots and money or some rubbish excuse like that. :(

Yeah; they don't make that much money from it, even in the US market.

To be honest, I've only seen a few episodes of the new series...
The new doctor isn't bad, but I still miss Tennant and especially Matt Smith.

I think some of 12 has been badly written, but some of it has also been some of the best DW I've watched. Smith was definitely a bit more fun on a regular basis, but when Capaldi really hits his stride as an actor he just carries things on screen in a way Matt Smith never quite had the gravitas to pull off.
