Expanding our social media portfolio, Exilian is now on Mastodon! For those of you who don't now, Mastodon is an open-source, decentralised microblogging network with a range of different servers (run by different people), each of which can link up with one another. This distributed system and open-source software means users have more control over their data, most servers are run on a non-profit basis, and it gives power back to users compared to the supergiants of social networking. There are also fewer feed algorithms etc, so nobody (looking at you, Zuckerberg) will require us to pay them for followers to see our posts! In other words, Mastodon is a social network that very much has Exilian's indies-first, members-first atmosphere, and we'll be updating our account there with news and geekery much like our Twitter and Facebook feeds.

We also recently got asked about our RSS output. Exilian has a built-in RSS feed! You can RSS-link with a range of URL options to almost any part of this forum. We've prepared our main feed link below, which will update you on all new topics in the announcements and articles sections of the site. We hope you find it useful!
