Rumours come with the wind from the west. Whispers of a growing power. It was far too long ago that the city of Atlantis had been seemingly lost to memory, now only a legend - a myth.

But little do the peoples of the world know, that just beyond the horizon, Atlantis has been rebuilding, becoming more powerful than ever before. In secret the Atlanteans had been studying the great powers of this time; taking close note of their military tactics and technologies, whilst developing some new tricks of their own.

The time has come to strike. To reclaim the Empire that was lost, and more. The time has come for the return of Atlantis!

Return of Atlantis is a modification for Rome: Total War 1.5 which adds a vanilla-esque faction of Atlantis to the game. Little to nothing else about the original game has been changed, thus preserving the classic experience that is Rome: Total War.

Installation instructions:
Spoiler
Step 1

To install the mod, you first need to unzip the file and place the atlantis folder directly inside your Rome - Total War folder.

Step 2
------------------------------------

- Make a copy of your Rome - Total War shortcut
- Right-click on it
- Select "Properties"
- At the end of the box that says "path" or "target", type -mod:atlantis
   - This should go after the quotes in that box with a space, like so:
...\RomeTW.exe" -mod:atlantis

You should now be able to double-click the shortcut and run the game.

Note: Whilst doing this you can also use the "Change Icon" button, navigate to your atlantis folder, and change from the standard RTW icon to one of the new one provided!

For Steam Users
------------------------------------
Complete Step 1 as above, putting atlantis in the relevant Steam folder:

Windows XP it should usually be
C:Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Rome Total War Gold
Windows Vista & 7 it should usually be
C:/Program Files(x86 or x64)/Steam/steamapps/common/Rome Total War Gold

Then to play the mod from the Steam Library:
Right click on RTW in the steam library.
Click 'Properties'
Click 'Set Launch Options...'
type into the box '-mod:atlantis'

And then run RTW. To run regular RTW again delete the '-mod:atlantis' command again.

Enjoy! :)

It would depend what it replaced - I think it's actually Carthaginian culture, replacing Numidia.

Jubal is correct. I can make them something else if you think that'd be better? Roman maybe?

Jubal

I like them as Punic.

I think the fire siphon is overpowered, a whole Roman Legion failed to even reach my battle line. Maybe restrict the range more, up the fire rate and down-power the attack?

Also, you have two random WHTW references in your DMB file which make the game crash for those two units.  :P
