I think I put that in space yays, you put it here, but I think the logical place would have been the ST thread. :P

In either case, KARMA.

I'm considering making a 2 headed spear just for fun.

Right now I think that the best option would be 2 long bladed hewing spearheads.

Do you have a forge handy?

I have an anvil and loads of scrap metal. And a fireplace.

But I would probably need a furnace.
I have a courtyard for that.

But I don't have the skill needed to forge a proper functional spear.
I could try and I bet it would look good and the whole process would be fun, but the spear head itself wouldn't be really useful in the end.

After taking a look I figured out that I'll make an ordinary spear instead.

I made up my mind after watching some wushu videos on youtube.
Even in the hands of Bruce Lee a double headed spear looks underwhelming.
Kind of an all show and no go weapon. Very interesting and good for practicing dexterity, but almost useless as a weapon.

Dory? Perhaps.
But it's not really what I'm looking for. The butt-spike on a dory is used for a different purpose than the one I had in mind.
And then there's xyston, but it's cavalry spear, and the other point was probably used just as counterweight and a backup if the first tip breaks.

I wanted a proper two headed spear which gives you a nice flow of motion, like a staff.
But that kind of fighting style is situational at best.

He wields a one handed spear. :D
But I must admit, that's what made me think about trying to forge something.
The choice of the fighting style was mostly because of Shaolin monks, though.

And I've always wanted to forge something, since I have all the needed equipment.
I figured out a spear/arrow head would be the best choice for a starter.

Edit: When I think about it, they may have used wushu in Oberyn's fight scene.
