howdy all ive got a problem with my download as well i have installed rome total war and followed the instructions the mod came with which said to patch it to version 1.2 then extract files to a copied version of my rome total war folder renames warhammer total war which i did then it said enjoy playing but when i try to run it it doesnt work it comes up with 2 things:

filename doesnt exist : Data/animations/Sg01. Cas

and error loading mount database

i am quite confused any ideas people?

I have the exact same problem =( :zegun:
when i open the shortcut in the folder of WHTW i alwayse just end up playing the normal total war

Can you post screenshots of the folder and folder structure, and the shortcut properties? With those I should be able to work out what's going wrong.

Ok I also cannot get the mod to start, you mentioned running the installer, how do you do that?

The most recent version doesn't have an installer, you just have to unzip it into your RTW folder and change the shortcut correctly.

Make a copy of your Rome - Total War shortcut, go to its properties, and add -mod:WHTW at the very end of the target line (with a space after the quotes). Hence, the WHTW folder that you unzip should be located at the same place that that target line is looking in.

I am having the same problem. I tried to download it and I figured that I didn't have the right patch, so I downloaded patch 1.5 which said I needed to download 1.3 and upgrade it. so I downloaded 1.3 and then tried to download 1.5 which keeps telling me to download 1.3.
I know I am not giving you a lot of info but I don't know that much about computers.
