My tip of the day, don't buy "Fine" calvados from Lidls. Bluuuugh. And if you do, mixing it with cider is the only way to drink it, unless you want to get portugaled off your tits.

Today I learnt that Botulinum toxin is so potent 400g of it would be enough to kill the entire human population of this planet.

Yep, the guy lecturing did mention one incident of a man who had a "botox party" but the dumbass instead of getting proper botox (which is either just a very small dose or a different molecule made from the botulinum toxin) instead got hold of toxin samples usually used for labwork. Don't think anyone died, but his girlfriend was paralyzed for a good few years. It does have some more useful uses though, its used to cure various problems caused by muscle spasms.

The lethal dose of that stuff is in milligrams. 20 grams, correctly applied, could wipe out the population of Great Britain with plenty to spare.

Today I did matriculation - the official ceremony of joining my college. It's all pretty awe-inspiring stuff. And I have a gown, which is rather snazzy.
