The Tribunal is a forum where you can appeal penalties that you feel are unjustified.
To Start an Appeal Against a Moderation Action– Create a thread in the forum. Try to include the penalty given to you and who gave it to you.
– Once the appeal has been posted, the case will begin.
– The Tribunes will decide whether or not to reverse your penalty, partially reverse it, or increase it.
– Once a decision has been reached, we will inform you of our decision and close the appeal.
– The person making an appeal can close the case at any point.
Guidelines–
Don't be rudeIf you're rude, we won't review your case and you'll end up getting an even worse penalty. Simple as that.
–
Post in your own thread/sDo not post in any threads or appeals apart from your own. Any posts found in any thread (with the exception of this thread) that are not made by the Tribunes, Moderators, Admins or the appellant will be deleted and the offending user warned.
–
Be patientWe are all volunteers, Tribunes included. We may not be able to review your case immediately. Rest assured we will review your case as soon as we can.
–
Give a good defence Be logical, and
think about your case. Are we likely to reverse it? Is your case hopeless?
For example, if you posted this:
hi i'd like to appeal a warning for this post:
YOU ****************************************
It's clear that's going to be denied.
DO NOT APPEAL THE SAME PENALTY TWICE
Once we pass a judgement, IT'S FINAL. Creating another appeal for the same penalty will get you into trouble. The
Terms of Service apply to posts within the Tribunal, and are the guidelines used for deciding on moderation appeals. Appellants and moderators should also be aware of the
Penalties Bill, which dictates how bans may be given out based on a member's violation records, and the
Tribunal Orders bill which gives the rules for seeking long ban times.
