Well, the screenshots show it all, but just so you don't have to open them.
Me (Greeks) Vs Carthage.
I had 2 hoplite units each with one experience and bronze shield & sword, and 4 vanilla peasant units.
Carthage had 4 units of Iberian infantry, 1 Libyan spear-men, 2 poeani (Sp?) phalanxes, 3 units of round shield cavalry, one unit of elephants, 2 units of skirmishers and 1 unit of slingers.
I won, with 23 men left. The reason I won was very lucky indeed, there was a rocky hill on my side, which gave the Carthaginians no chance to flank me, or come from behind. One phalanx on each side, peasants bundled up into the middle in-between the 2 phalanxes.
unfortunately I never dreamt that I would win, so alas, I don't have any screenies of pre battle formations and stuff. I tried to fit as many bodies into the screenshots though. Difficulty was on M/VH. The odds of winning the battle auto resolve was 1:8
