Well, at least you have the capability of actually executing the ideas that you have... I wish I had that.

Also, you wouldn't have to spend all your time in updating your modded files after every patch :P

EDIT: I just cannot BELIEVE they have announced a Blood & Gore pack, especially by the part of "Featuring hundreds of gruesome animations that play out in combat between multiple different unit types (...)". SERIOUSLY? If I recall correctly, the reason why there isn't a fire at will option in R2TW for pila/javelins (what would have been the "prec" attribute in RTW) was because they didn't have either time or space for it's animations. And they are really charging 3$ for animations that will make all the 300 fanboys whoop in glee?!?! Really pissed about it.

Uh! Nice stuffs. Sounds just like what I wanted! I hate how fast tech goes in civ2, and how there's no way of editing it (except real modding, but I've read that it's rather hard). How did you do it.

Sadly, I doubt I'll try it until December... I don't want to get addicted to any game right now, I just want to finish my Eastern Roman campaign in BI and fall back to more casual games like TF2 or something

Yeah, I think I heard a bit in some videos (specifically PoM), but I guess I'll save it for whenever I'm bored :P

I tried WarFrame at a friends request. It's fun, but I don't like the setting really, and I sucked at it (I can't really manage how easy it is to go from melee to shooter mechanics :P ). Playing alone doesn't seem to be as fun as it should be with friends.

I'd like to contribute of a demo of a game that is still in development (apparently), Superhot. Basically, your movement has almost absolute command over time. It shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to complete the game, so I really suggest you to try it out. Besides, I found the small hints of dark humour to be great (if you don't agree with me after trying, you've been warned of the possible nature of my jokes)

EDIT: yay, I still remember some basic BBCodes!

I have it! It's a really nice break from TW games, with a whole new perspective on strategy. The food mechanic is very clever, but it takes time to get used to. My only big issue has been late game, when you have to attend to so many small things (such as raiding parties, managing food flow to where your armies are) on different fronts. It is quite tedious, and it's the biggest reason of why I haven't wanted to finish my Philip II campaign (which has been the only campaign I've played. Aside of that, I find it great, the tactics you need are quite well implemented considering the limitations of space.

So, to sum it up, I feel the biggest advantage of this game is the introduction of a concept I have not seen on any other game (S2 and R2's form of taking food into account of using it is too simplistic to even be considered, if you compare it to this). If you see it on sale, it's a really good deal. You can always try out the demo.

In any case, the sequel, centered on Caesar's campaigns in Gaul, is supposed to reduce the micromanagment of the later stages of the campaign. I hope they introduce a combat AI of some sorts, where you can leave some patrolling armies at the hands of the AI so you can focus on your active fronts.

This is why I don't tend to buy on day one and wait for steam sales :P

Although it seems the few mods out there really help. I remember seeing quite a few that helped a bit with performance, which seems to be a widespread issue
