Discussion and Debate - The Philosopher's Plaza / Re: US Politics 2022

I find it hard to believe he'd be quite that stupid. But who knows folks??

92
Eye sea eye sea, it definitely does add to travel stress. Hope it all goes smoothly. How are your folks doing?

93
O deer. Do you have the covid or just stressing about the possibility of having the covid?

94
I was looking after my mum for a while after easter because she caught the covid in april and then broke her ankle as she was recovering, I could try to claim she had longer term health issues but I'd be bullarmadilloting a little.
I could also try using my own mental health issues as an excuse but I have to provide proof and I'm not seeing my GP until two days after the deadline for submitting the ECs. I'll email someone about that and see if they can allow me to submit it a little later.

I may be able to resit the rest and then maybe go on my placement and move into year 2 or maybe go on a placement and then take a year out and then move onto year 2, if I can provide valid extenuating circumstances but idk that I've got any good ones.
We'll have to see.

Your landlord really does suck.

At the start of this (academic) year, at the obscenely advanced ago of 27 I began studying Physiotherapy full time at my local university. It was pretty intense, and often rather stressful, but I had my last day of teaching today and was really looking forward to starting my first clinical placement next week.
Unfortunately it seems I failed a practical exam resit, which means I've failed the year and have to leave the course. It really rather sucks, I had been planning on starting this course for so long before I actually did, largely delaying because of my dad's illness. I really don't know what I'm going to do with myself next right now.
Also the extra annoying thing is that I knew the correct techniques in the exam and proscribed an appropriate exercise to treat the problem my model was supposed to have, but I failed because I  couldn't explain how stretching induces a change in muscle length at a very detailed physiological level. Oh, and because I didn't pick up a portugaling water bottle that was left under the edge of the plinth. And then somehow I failed even harder in the resit because I'm a cock.

Ahhhhhh.

Euurgh.

Eeee.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the case. Some mods that have just been straight ported over really don't look great.
In terms of ease of modding, from what I've heard it's been made very mod friendly, with a lot of the hard coded limitations removed. Lots of possibilities, but I think these limitations were only removed relatively recently so not so many mods have made use of them yet as far as I can tell. But I don't really know, I just watched some YT videos

Hell yeah brother

Play some funky music. Or whatever it is that gets you going. Sometimes just getting up and moving is enough to wake up.
Could also try something like https://youtu.be/pL02HRFk2vo

I was visiting someone there so spent a lot of time with her in Lusaka, just seeing some of her haunts and did some coupley things. We also took a trip to Livingstone and did some more touristy stuff, got sprayed by the sprays of Victoria falls, took a short cruise on the Zambezi, went for a game drive etc. Got bitten by mosquitos. All good stuff.

Dover castle is definitely a place I'd like to visit, is the reconstruction and decoration still ongoing or was that just for a temporary display?

I've been in Zambia for the last couple of weeks, was very good. Saw some stuff, did some things, ate some foods. 10/10 would go again.
Unfortunately there were no direct flights from here and the traveling has left me pretty knackered, and my mum caught covid shortly after I left and then possibly fractured her ankle just before I returned, so there isn't much rest for me right now. Back to school tomorrow too.
